Janet opens up the library and starts working.

[The Doctor looks at Angela, looks at the two others, then looks at the open door to Adam's office. He subtly begins moving in that direction, and makes it all the way to the Circ Desk before the door closes.

This is bad.]

*After a few minutes, Zero opens the office door and steps out. She's distracted, and doesn't really notice the Doctor until she almost walks into him.*

Why hello, Doctor.

Hi Zero, recovered from yesterday? Sorry I dropped you. [He's eyeing the mallet, then sees Methos leave in a murderous rage.] Excuse me...

I'm just swerval. *dodges Professor Pierson.*

Parker is clearly still upset, her body language stiff and tightly controlled. She nods at the Doctor, her eyes narrowing, but says nothing.

Methos storms out of his office, looking for someone to beat up. Luckily, he has someone in mind.

[Ten nods back at Parker, who looks scary, and then sees Methos, who looks even more scary, a la murderous rage type, and walks quickly after him.] Adam...

Not. Now.

[Ten catches up with him, walking backwards so that he can look him in the eye.] Remember our conversation the other day? The part where I said 'don't do anything stupid?'

DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID.

[Between gritted teeth:] I *wasn't* going to do anything stupid. If for no other reason than riding off to "avenge" -- hah -- CJ at this point does nothing other than rip even more control out of her hands. I just really, really want to beat up on someone right now.

[Ten stops in front of him, blocking his way.] Adam. Bloody listen to yourself. Stop it.

"I'm closing the damned library," snapped Janet. "Have fun."

Janet rolled her eyes--again--stood up, and said, "What the hell are you people all talking about? And keep it the hell down, it's a goddamn library!"

"I'm closing the fucking library," spits Janet. "And then you can all have your goddamn argument in peace. And privacy."

Wesley watches the confrontation in fascinated horror, frozen in place, hoping devoutly not to become in any way involved.

They think I'm the one who hurt CJ. I can't be here right now.

[Ten looks aghast and turns towards Zero and Parker. In fact, he looks like he's considering throwing up at the very idea of it.] What?! No.

"We know that now." Parker looks around, and jerks her head back toward the office. "If we're going to discuss this, how about we do so in private?" She keeps her voice quiet, but her arms are still folded, and her face is grim.

*Through her teeth.*

No. We do not. We jumped to a conclusion, and were set the squall straight.

[The Doctor looks at Methos, then looks at Parker and Zero, then looks at Methos again. His expression can best be described as confused and pained.]
