Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS-20:00 FHS

Chloe sits in the Journalism classroom, tapping away at her laptop. If you glance at the screen fast enough, you might catch her playing solitaire before she switches windows and brings up actual work.

"I'm not blonde," Angela says, wandering in after Rory. "Not since I was, six, anyhow."

She smiles, seeming to be in a positively pbubbly mood by Angela standards. "How is everyone?"

"So could I," Angela says, giving a piece of her own hair a cross-eyed look. "I'd just need to bleach out the red."

She laughs, realizing who she's talking to. "You would probably need fewer chemicals, right?"

Rory pats his arm. "Jakey, why so sleepy?" She arches a brow. "You're not a psychic who's been hijacking my dreams, are you?"

Jake blinks at her. "...No. At least I don't think so. I mean, I'm fairly sure I'd notice if I suddenly developed psychic-ness. Just haven't slept off the holiday yet, is all. I need a holiday from the holiday."

Chloe turns back towards Jake and Rory just in time to hear, and she blinks for a second, certain she heard wrong. "Wait. You were what?!"

"You were what?" Rory snaps, her eyes wide. "Who? How? Where?" She reaches a hand out to Jake's head, as though making sure it's all there.

"You...what?!" The only thing stopping Chloe from outright frantic yelling is how tired Jake looks. When Krycek comes in, she looks back and forth between them for a moment, before stalking over to Krycek.

Rory watches Chloe go off to talk to Alex, and turns back to Jake.

"Who?" she asks quietly. "If you want to talk about it, I mean."

Jake makes a sleepy noise, then glips his eyes at Rory. "Scary mean alien dude. But Alexeij spiked him." His head tips onto Rory's shoulder. "'Lexeij is great," he mumbles.

"Jake seems really sleepy," Angela says, looking a little worried. "I hope that's all it is. He was fine at the Perk earlier."

She stands, shaking it off. "And I'm late to poetry. Drop me a message if I need to do anything but Rover and the missing students thing we already talked about."

She tiptoes out.
