Anakin's eyes lit up. "Hey, Zero. I've been, um, recruited into some sort of holiday pageant, but I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with Christmas and Hannukah." He pronounced the last words awkwardly. "I'm looking for books that could give me a general overview and some information about the musical traditions in particular. You think you could help a poor confused Jedi out?"

"I have no idea what the Dean has in mind, so maybe a little bit of both?" He grimaced. "I get to play the banthabell."

*discreetly makes note to bring her video camera* All right, let's go to the card catalogue an' see what we can find.

Anakin followed closely behind Zero.

"Temple archives I can navigate, sure," he said. "But this school's library system? Not a chance."

*grins at him over her shoulder* It's easy for me, but since I'm not quite sure what you're lookin' for, we'd best check the cards, yeah?

"Sounds like a plan to me," he said. "I don't want to drown in information, but a little knowledge of what I've gotten myself into would be really, really, helpful."

"That sounds great," Anakin said. "Is there something like
'Idiot's Guide to Earthling Religions' or something? The books I had from Professor Gandalf's class were all a little, um, thick, for what I'm looking for."

*opens and shuts a few more drawers* Ah, here we go. The Idiot's Guide to Christianity and The Idiot's Guide to Judaism. *notes down their catalogue numbers on one of the provided slips of paper*

"I didn't think they actually made books for idiots on this world," Anakin muttered. "But these should be helpful. Is there anything about bells? Songs or traditions that deal with them specifically?"

Oh, I think books for idiots may be universal. There are probably a few philosophers that'd be fascinated by that. *grins brightly*

Bells, bells...I'm not seein' much as far as books on bells in particular, but there is "The Carol of the Bells". It's one of my favorites--but I think it calls for a bit more than a banthabell.

Anakin's grin turned wicked. "I bet I could. I mean, they took the bell. I bet that means they all secretly want to dance and sing."

*remembering back to her first week at Fandom High* Possibly while naked...um. *blushes* Well, they don' wear clothes anyway.

Anakin gave her a look. "I'm certainly not volunteering to knit them hats or anything," he said. "I think those books, plus something about this Carol of the Bells thing, should probably get me a good idea of what to expect."

Swerval! *hands him the piece of paper with the call numbers* Can you follow the signs for those?

"Yeah, I can do this part." He smiled. "Thanks for your help, Zero. I just take them up to the circulation desk for check-out when I'm done, right?"

After a half hour of wandering around and picking out the books, Anakin finally took his stack up to the circulation desk for checkout.

He pulled his library card from his pocket and handed the whole pile over to Zero.

*Swipes card, stamps books, it's all pretty routine.*

*Looks up at Anakin with a perfectly blank face.* These are due in two weeks. Or else.

*Sunny smile.* Have a nice day, and good luck with your pageant-thingy!
