The Library Is Open (11/29/05)

The Library Salamander has decided his name is "Dante". This was decided by incinerating all the other options.

The librarian is working on paperwork today. Annoy at own risk.

"It stopped talking after awhile but..." Angel narrowed his eyes suspiciously "I think it's plotting something. Now it's too quiet."

"Ah, yes," Elizabeth said. "Something I know all too well. Well, not the talking toaster part, but the quietly plotting."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-11-29 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"You'd think I would too. But it's the toaster part that throws off my ability to guess what it might be doing."

"Yeah, I imagine it would do," Elizabeth agreed, nodding. She doesn't think about the fact that they're discussing a potentially evil, talking toaster.

"Plus maybe I'm just biased. Maybe it's a nice talking toaster that doesn't know how to express itself."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-11-29 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Elizabeth's lips twitched and she smiled. "Maybe it is. I guess you'll have to have more conversations with it!"

"John and I were thinking of bringing it to the club tonight. Only we're not sure if it sings."

[ooc: going out for dinner, back in a bit]

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
She giggled. "It might be worth it just to see if it does," she said.

[[ooc: No problem. Should possibly find some food myself too]]

"Supposedly the guy there - the green guy? - can read your future if you sing," Angel said. "Not sure what a talking toaster's future would be. Broadway, maybe."

"It could star in the musical adaption of Brave Little Toaster?" Elizabeth suggested with a grin.

Angel laughed. "Think the mike would get feedback all the time? Since it's made of metal?"

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm sure one of the resident technical genuises would be able to figure something out," she grinned.

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"I think it was one of those resident genuises that made it talk in the first place," Angel said. "Though that does make me wonder if the rude rhymes were their idea, of if the toaster had it inside the whole time, just waiting to come out."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"It is certainly a question that needs to be considered, I'm sure," Elizabeth said. "It makes me worried about my own toaster now though."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
"I'd offer to bring ours over to chat," Angel said, "but what if they start forming a toaster mob and rebel against us?"

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-11-30 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
"We'd have Toaster-Attack!weekend instead of Zombie!weekend?" she suggested. "Less goo, more... uh, crumbs?"

Angel sat back in his chair. He tilted his head thoughtfully. "How would we combat them? I'd say water but that could run the risk of electrocuting the humans too."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-12-01 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
"You know, I have absolutely no idea," Elizabeth said with a grin. "Glue perhaps? Would that stop them up?"
