Journalism Class - Tuesday November 22

Krycek is at Jerusalem's desk again, though he's rather more focused than he was Monday. He seems to be busy on a personal task, but still watching the classroom.

Please choose one assignment for the day (or do both to earn extra credit):

Write 125 words exactly on what you hoped to learn from this class and whether or not this has been acheived. Spider respects honesty and likes it when people hate him, so don't be afraid to say what you really feel.

or

Vacation is coming up. Homework looms. Write 100 words on how grateful you are that there's no journalism homework this weekend.

At the bottom, he's added:

I will not be fielding questions about the class over the break. Please see me today if there is anything you need.

Oh, you have got to be fucking me... Jake narrowed his eyes, grabbed his coffee and went to have a little talk with Krycek by the coffee maker. "And how are you today? Space looking nice this time of year?"

"You're being distract-y again. And that, my dear, is not on." Jake scowled at him over his coffee. He wasn't really mad (yet), just annoyed.

"You're welcome." Jake grabbed his wrist quickly, stopping Krycek from moving. "And, guess what? Now you get to tell me what the hell is bothering you." This time he wasn't budging. He would know what was Krycek's mind, even if the entire school would find out as well.

"You're my business," Jake countered, eyes narrow. His grip both on Krycek's wrist and his own coffee tightened. He wasn't going to feel uncertain about that. He wasn't. "And whatever is making you act like this, can't be good, so I definitely want to know what it is."

"No, it..." Jake sighed, frustrated, trying to find the words to make Krycek understand. He let go of Krycek's wrist, leaving his hand free to tug at his bangs. "We're partners, right? You watch my back, I watch yours? I can't do that if I don't know what you're planning." And then it hit him. "Oh, fuck. You're going home."

"I'm going with you," Jake said decisively when he caught up with him. Krycek could argue if he wanted, but the result was going to be same. Jake was going with.

"Oh, yeah, I am." Equally firm.

Jake's eyebrows went up. "What makes you think you can stop me?"

Jake put his coffee down on the desk and glared back, folding his arms over his chest. "Or what?"

"Can survive a gun shot through the head --" probably. It wasn't like he was going to test it to check. "-- am totally coming with. And, I'm not going to let you go home alone, leaving me not knowing what happened if you..." He stopped, shocked by his words. "..If you... I'm just not."

[identity profile] courier-gavin.livejournal.com 2005-11-22 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Jake shook his head. "No. I'm not going to let you." He had no idea how he could concivably stop Krycek, but he was bloody well going to try. He was not going to stay behind and wonder if his boyfriend was alive or dead in that fucked up world of his.

Jake followed his look, then blinked in surprise. "You're going to DC?" Jake wasn't sure where he'd though Krycek was going, but it was definitely not DC. Jake'd spend at least a third of his life in DC. He knew the city like... well, almost like the back of his hand.

Jake regarded him back. "I'm coming with you."
