I hope you all had an excellent weekend, class. Please pass your comparison analysis papers on Metropolis to the front of the room. Thank you.

Now, I have paired the class up in the following manner – and please move to sit with your partner, or in one case, group of three:

1) Veruca Cally, Beka Valentine

2) Lee Adama, Sharon Valerii

3) Bridge Carson, Sam Carter

4) Charlie Kawalsky, Aeryn Sun

5) John Crichton, Anakin Skywalker, Kara Thrace

For your next assignment – due in two weeks – I want you to write ~~delicious crackfic~~ a fictional story of your own focusing on some aspect of cyborg theory. It must make an argument pro or against human to cyborg and/or android relations (of any kind – political, social, romantic, etc).

By the end of class, I want you to have discussed with your partner the nature of the story you would like to write and whether it is to be pro or against human/cyborg/android relations.

If you have any questions, I'll be at my desk. Now get to work.

When Lee says he wants a whole squadron of Sharons…man… the irony.

They could, omg, take over the known universe and make every piece of tech their bitch. If they were, you know, evil.

This was probably a mistake. Be gentle on him, Aeryn! He's a nice guy!

~~Three~~Two flyboys and a flygirl walk into a bar… One dances rather poorly and gets in trouble with the natives, the other starts a lightsaber duel (sullenly) and the girl kicks everyone's ass at cards and starts a fistfight. Yes. ~~RC's mun will be in her bunk.~~

I LIKE PEANUT BUTTER.

Cally looks around for Beka, pulling out a pad of cornerless paper and a pencil.

"Story, huh?" she asks herself, chewing on her eraser.

You are EVIL, obviously.

I'm still in shock from picturing John, Anakin and Kara taking out a space bar somewhere. OMG. The foundation of the damn place would shake as the three entered, each with a calculating smile on their faces. *flails*

Lee worries that he's too short to be an appropriate partner for Sharon. *emo sigh*

Anakin passed his paper to the front as requested, then waited for Crichton and Kara to come over ~~and smote LJ for being an evil comment-eating h0r~~.

Kara scribbles on her paper. 'A girl in her viper killed all the cylons and saved the day.'

Beka saw the assignment and grinned. This would be fun. And she could use a bit of that. Also, she was pretty sure she could count on Cally to forgive her for being an idiot.

"Hey, you," Beka said, sliding into the seat next to her.

Sam passed her paper to the front of the room, completely positive it would get her flunked, even though it was a detailed analysis of how she and her Cyborg Theory professor were absolutely, positively not part of the Metropolis paradigm. For one thing, she wasn't sweet and innocent.

~~And she in no way included a paragraph about how people thought Eighth was her mother.~~

Beka passed her paper to the front of the room. It wasn't her best work, but under the circumstances, it was the best she'd been able to do. She hoped it would be good enough.

"Hey." Cally taps her slightly-chewed eraser against her paper. "So, story, huh? Got any ideas?"

I would so read that fic. YAY CROSSOVERS.

This assignment? Best evah.

"Hm. Definitely it should be a love story." Beka smirked. "Wouldn't be right, me writing something without sex in it."

Kawalsky gave Aeryn sea monkeys. Kawalsky's safe.

John comes in eating a lollipop. It's a good lollipop. Anyone else want a lollipop?

Anakin really wished he had a lollipop.

John can see the lollipop lust in Anakin's eyes so he offers one to Anakin. "All yours, man."

If she had any idea what her professor was referring to, Sharon was sure she'd laugh out loud. Really. Instead, she sits down next to Lee (who has enough personality to almost be tall enough to fit her unconscious agenda). "So, um... Anti, or pro-cyborgs?"

And the strangely hot concept has completely BROKEN MY BRAIN.

Also. Us? Collaborating? How crack!fic is it going to be?
