Monday, the Library (open)

Zero is sorting books for shelving and listening to something very, very loud on her headphones. At least she's facing the door this time. From time to time, she casts a worried eye toward Special Collections, where Methos was last seen.

John walks into the library and up to the counter. "Can I renew a book for someone else, Zero?"

"Nah, this someone else is Aeryn and I checked out the book for her. She's just not finished yet and I don't know when she will be."

Really? Do you know where he's at? I haven't heard from him in days. [She looks concerned. I really hope he isn't in that closet again....]

Well, when I came in Thursday, the books we'd been cataloguing for Special Collections were gone, so I assumed he'd gone in there. Haven' heard from him since.

I wouldn' worry too much, though. The Library's not pitchin' any fits, so I'm pretty sure he's swerval.

"Er, no not really. How are things? Doing anything for Thanksgiving? Is Miss Parker back yet?"

Yeah, 'm supposed to fly to London t'be with my folks. Parker's around here somewhere, I was just talkin' to her. *glances about*

"Zero!" Parker walks in, looking tired and tanned? "How was your weekend? Thanks for taking care of Esme."

It was swerval! Esme's fine, but--did you get my voicemail? You might want t'get your lock checked on. How was France?

Parker frowned. "I got the voicemail, and I'm going to put in a message to Scooter to take a look at it. Damnit. I should've given you the key, but I didn't remember. And I hadn't thought it'd been picked before, but then, I haven't been trying to get it open sans key...."

"Paris was great." She grinned. "So was Michael. And so were some of the places we got to see...." Sighing, she scowled. "But my research project was a complete bust, damnit. I couldn't find the material I needed, and now, I have to start over from the beginning. So damn frustrating."

"Hi," she says. "John checked out a book for me. It's roughly 10,000 pages and I need to know what I have to do to keep it a little while longer."

Parker checks John's check-out history, then blinks. "It looks like he renewed it for you already it. You've got it for another two weeks." She cocks her head. "If you want more of the same, they're in the 940 section? Start with Sun Tzu. Primitive, but a genius."

He came in an' renewed it a little while ago. Good luck sloggin' through the rest of it. I could barely pick the squallin' thing up to scan it in.
