Speech Comm

[She looks sleepy, but she's jacked up on coffee and on a roll. Expect questions. Lots of questions.

Ok, we've played games, now let's bring it back...honesty and communication. Tell me what you understand about honesty and it's role as relates to influence, manipulation, friendship, trust and reciprocity? How do we recognize honesty? In what ways do we try to assure the honesty of those we communicate with? And what about body language? Is body language honest?

And now tell me how this fits with sender/message/receiver.

Manipulation of the truth can be used to influence the public into seeing something in a more or less favorable light. Spin is often used to make something appear to be not as bad as it actually is.

We all do really, both the sender and the receiver. Easier communication facilitates learning, the transfer of information and makes socializing simpler.
