I have made you each an egg baby.

For the next few days, you must have your egg baby with you at all times. Even when you sleep, you must put him or her in a safe place.

By Thursday, your objectives are to:
- Write a few sentences on what caring for even an inanimate object 24 hours a day was like. What obstacles did you face? Were you surprised by your reactions?
- Provide for your baby. You should assemble, in one way or another, things to care for your baby with. Something safe to carry it in, something to keep it warm, etc.
- Have one person babysit for your baby for at least one hour.
- DO NOT BREAK YOUR BABY

Today in class, you should:
- Name your baby
- Keep your baby away from the class psycho kitties
- Start caring for your baby

Boone looked at the egg in his palm for several moments, before grinning slightly. "I guess it would be wrong to name it 'Breakfast,' huh?"

Paige walks in and sits at the desk with her egg, she proceeds to put her head aginst against the desk and wish for death, she might be willing to talk to the teacher and Boone and possibly her sister, mainly cos she trusts them to not have looked for the photo

Paige looks up at Mrs Van Der Kamp, "would one of your kittens to willing to practise weapons use on me do you think?"

"Probably, the vile beasts, but I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are all up to date on your shots." She tilts her head, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Paige shakes her head "you'd probably hate me if I told you," she says still pretty much hoping for death

Paige's eyes fill with tears "I messed up, he told me it was open, but he didn't mean it and now he hates me." she crys

"What was open? Did your ex-boyfriend do something?" Bree looks a bit cross, and empathetic of Paige's sorrow.

A tree in the corner that no one had ever noticed before seemed to be giggling and taking notes. Huh.

Sarah Kitty yawns, looking a bit bored. She picks up a sewing needle and a piece of balsa wood and quickly constructs a lance, running toward the giggling tree in her daily weaponry practice.

The tree hopped nimbly out of the way. Pretty impressive, for a tree. It continued hopping out the door.

Sarah Kitty looked puzzled, turning back to the classroom, and discovering that no one else was paying attention or saw the tree.

"Typical fucking humans, oblivious to the world around them as apocalypse is nigh. When their blood runs in the streets, I'll laugh," she thought to herself.

Sakura sits, staring at her eggbaby. She frowns.

"Mrs. Van de Kamp," she says after a moment. How to word this without sounding rude? "...may I ask what the purpose of this assignment is?" she had an odd smile tugging at the sides of her mouth - this was amusing her more than it probably should have.

"It is so that you can experience first hand even a little bit of what is required to care for a family member, specifically a child. Family and household management are important skills to develop."

It's also a big pain in the ass and no kid takes it seriously.

Sakura nodded slowly, turning her attention back to the egg in her palm.

"I guess that makes sense," she added.

"I should like to apologize for my absence last week, Mrs. Van de Kamp," Wednesday offered solemnly, "and to thank you for your help at the Halloween Ball.

Distracted by the eggs, Wednesday stared at her assignment for a long moment before picking it up and examining it thoroughly. "What would happen if it were to hatch?" she asked.

"It was my pleasure, and I hope you are feeling better," she said warmly. "I don't think they can hatch - but if your baby did, you certainly would not be held responsible grade-wise for the egg breaking. Although I don't know what you'd do with the chicken, perhaps the Chef would want it?"

Wednesday continued to examine the egg carefully. "I shall take very good care of it," she decided, "although finding a babysitter may not be the easiest of tasks."

"It is a struggle to find someone you can trust with something so precious," Bree agreed. "If you need any help, let me know."

"Thank you, Mrs. Van de Kamp." Wednesday turned her egg in place before looking up to declare, "I shall name it Hyde."

Piper glances at the egg and tries to think of a name for it.

Allie is half excited and half terrified about the assignment.

She wonders if it would be weird for her to ask Logan to help her pick a name.

Naming the baby

Maia takes her egg baby and stares at it... it is a very ugly baby but she was happy it was frowning it matched her life for the last week.

"I am going to name the egg baby...Carmen"

Maia set the egg carefully on the desk to keep it from the kittens and set about cutting a bow out of construction paper to make it at least a little cuter.
