She grins. "So far? Not a whole lot. Got some weird kid in yesterday who wanted to take a look at the Necronomicon. But today, fairly boring."

John leans over the counter and looks sad. He really just wants a cookie. "I can liven it up for you. Wanna have a book fight?"

Janet knew that look. "Are you going to play nice with the other boys and girls and not call them by stupid nicknames?" she asked, fishing a cookie out of her backpack and holding it out of John's reach.

"I think a book fight might hurt too much. But please, stay and entertain me."
