Sam walks in quickly and waves good morning to Janet, heading straight for the card catalog. "Where's the Physics section? I need to double check something before I start assembling my pumpkin flinger."
"Shop class," Sam said, already making her way over to the direction Janet had indicated. "We're building flingers to see whose pumpkin can go the furthest, but we have to use stuff we found in the junkyard."
"It's too bad Jack's still sick. This is definitely his kind of assignment."
Sam pulled one of the books off the shelf and took it over to one of the tables, already searching through the index. "It's a great idea. I found almost everything I was looking for, but I need to know how tight to make the aircraft cable."
Janet laughed at the image of Sam gleefully stuffing a hollowed-out pumpkin with C4. "Thank God you're not blowing it up," said Janet. "So do you get an audience on the pumpkin flinging? Because I'm starting to think that this is something I have to see."
Sam held her place in the index and turned to the page she needed before looking up and answering Janet. "I'm not sure. You could ask Profe...Mac. He's pretty easygoing and should be in the shop all afternoon."
