The Library Is Open (11/4/05)

Janet opened up the library early on Friday so she could get out in time to get lunch in town with Sam, and then go check out McKay and Jonas' new repair shop.

Parker pokes Zero in the shoulder, starting to get freaked. "Zero? Please? C'mon." She shakes her arms. "Say something, damnit."

*turns to look at Parker* Oh. Hey. Where's Professor Pierson? I have to tell him something.

"I'm, uh, not sure. I mean, he's probably around... someplace." Parker studies Zero, still a little worried.

Oh. Uh...the library told me--*presses hand to forehead* The library told me what happened to that professor. Parker, this is really creepin' me out.

"You and me both." Parker shoots Janet a look of concern, then braces hereself. "And what, uh, what *did* happen to that professor?"

"What happened to the white-robed professor?" asked Janet. "The one without a library card?"

He's uh, he's okay. He's just...not here any more. The Library sent him somewhere else. It was kinda vague. But it said he's fine. Physically.

*considers* He could still be a newt. He's just not a dead newt, or whatever.

"Which is the best we can hope for, I guess. He *was* one of the magic types, if he's a newt, I assume he can get himself out of it."

Yeah. An' he's not comin' back for a while...or maybe ever, so I guess I need to tell the Dean about that, in case his classes need t'be taken care of or whatever.
