Wesley was mainly preoccupied with shelving today. He kept finding the strangest collection of books misshelved, including books set on desert islands, how-to survival guides, voice training manuals, and books on how to compete with others for a potential romantic partner.

Wesley didn't know what the island was up to, but he was quite sure he should be wary.

Wesley looked up from a bewildered examination of a book (http://www.abebooks.com/9781429622820/Survive-Deserted-Island-OShei-Tim-1429622822/plp). "I'm sorry?"

He had heard Loki just fine. It was just that, well, the request was a bit broad.

He even pointed! Helpfully! To possibly the largest section the library had. So... have fun with that, Loki.

Wesley sighed, and softened. It was the tinyness that did it. "Is there something in particular you're looking for?"

HE WOULD ALSO BE MOST PLEASED TO FIND A STOOL TO REACH THE HIGHER SHELVES.

THERE WERE STOOLS. BUT BEHIND THE LIBRARY AIDE DESK. HE WOULD HAVE TO ASK FOR ONE.

Wesley looked suspicious. "Is there a particular... er, witch that you had in mind?"

He didn't want anyone getting blown up by some other universe's magic, okay.

"The efforts of Slayers, or supernaturally-powered young women," Wesley informed him, "as they combat the forces of darkness. Including vampires, demons, and other mystical threats -- gods included."

A beat.

"On occasion."

There had been this one Slayer in the '60s. No one liked to talk about it.
