The Fifteen Labors of Fandom, Session 7, Period 1

Hercules had plans for today, oh yes he did. He also had a completely new outfit. Complete with pants! And belt pouches! He had the class assemble in a classroom, and clapped his hands together once it was time to start the session.

"One of the things about heroic deeds is that sometimes the simplest is the most important," Hercules said. "This week's task will not take place in this classroom, but out and about this weekend, as it is the glorious time of Homecoming! I want you all to do one thing this weekend for someone who could use a good deed. Perhaps you will help an old lady cross a street, or ask some shy person to dance with you at the dance, or perhaps you will save someone who is being bullied. These are all good deeds, often overlooked as unimportant, but they are far from it."

He raised a hand, a single finger outstretched and pointed at the ceiling. "But don't think you are getting out of class early, either," he said. "No, today I want a class discussion. I have been focusing on bringing out the best qualities in each of you through trials of skill, perseverance, and wit. Today I want everyone to share a labor they've endured outside of this class, and how you feel it helped shape you."

He pointed at a student at random. "You, you can start!"

[ooc: OCD comin' up! Class up and ready!]

Percy wasn't sure how this one would go over considering someone else in the room but he was gonna say it anyway since that other person was avoiding him for some reason.

"I had to hold up the world once," he shared, gesturing to the streak of grey in his hair. "I took it from Artemis so she could help fight someone that only she could really take on. I wanted to fight but I had to realize that I wasn't gonna win and she had the chance. So, I did what I could do and let someone else do the big stuff."
