Oz had his class meet him in the Danger Shop this week, where they'd find themselves in a fortified encampment in the midst of a seemingly deserted town. "So far we've focused on the theoretical side of not being evil," he began once the class had finished arriving. "And let's face it, it's easier to figure out evil versus good when it's presented in a purely hypothetical manner, it starts getting trickier out in the real world, or simulations of such, especially when you're in a position of power and responsibility, or in times of great stress. When it's both, boy, are you in trouble."

Three guesses what today's class was going to involve.

"You may have noticed our lovely surroundings, well it turns out that while we weren't looking, your typical zombie apocalypse happened, but luckily for you, you managed to make it back to what's left of civilisation, you even found a small group of survivors, and then they made you their chief. Which means your job today is to try and rebuild this decaying husk back into something resembling a town, while keeping people's tasty brainmeats inside their heads. I'm sure you'll handle any moral dilemmas that crop up along the way just fine."

Natalie looked impassive, taking in the surroundings and the task at hand. She spent an hour every Tuesday dealing with simulated zombies, so that part was nothing new.

Making decisions and actually rebuilding something was new, though. And sort of appealing.

Yeah, this wasn't really Sam's specialty. He could raise the zombies up and control but doing that here seemed evil. He tended to leave this kind of thing to Frank. He was the smart one.

And rest assured that even if you fail to rebuild the town, you'll only have killed Danger Shop NPCs, instead of your classmates.

Though said classmates might rethink being in a life and death situation with you if you do.

Topher did not wish to rebuild the town. It probably had germs.

He may have looked oddly protective of his sweater vest at this moment.

Sam was right there with him, today.

"What do you think, have 'em build me a throne room, first? Or make them scavenge for snacks?"

She sucked at this class.

Not to worry, Topher sucked at it just as badly!

"Think they could find us some donuts?" Topher wondered. "I'm pretty hungry."

"Fat cakes," Sam decided. "Those never go bad."

"Good call." Topher had experienced the joy of fat cakes the first time he'd met Sam. It was possible that he was hooked forever. "You wanna ask, or should I?"

"What is this 'ask' you speak of?" Sam turned to the Danger Shop NPCs milling closest. "Hey minions! Fat cakes! Chop-chop!"

Man, would those NPCs regret electing Sam leader.

"Niiiice," Topher said approvingly. He hadn't considered the idea of just ordering them to get him stuff.

Then he peered after them, wondering if they would actually do it.

"Uh, Miss Leader," said one of the NPCs. Are you sure we should --"

Sam gave her a Look.

The NPC eeped and nodded. "Provisions! Good idea!" And they scurried off to go try and find fat cakes.

"Man, I'm awesome," Sam said.

"Impressive," Topher agreed. Then, eager to show off his own awesomeness, he tapped a nearby NPC on the shoulder. "Please get me a red silk shirt."

The NPC didn't move.

"Aw, man."
