Wednesday: What was the school board thinking giving Jamie Madrox a teaching position?

Today's class was in the danger room but there doesn't appear to be a reason why. In fact there is only one Jamie Madrox standing in front of the class today looking rather subdued.

"Today's class... is simple," Jamie declared. "Today's assignment? Cut class."

And with that being said, Jamie turned on his heel and walked out of the classroom.

Gosh that seems simple, doesn't it?

[Mwah ha ha. And OCD is up.]

Looking relieved that Jamie isn't insane today.

Where you can feel relief in that Jamie isn't going to make you do anything strange.

In fact everything will seem just normal until you try to exit the classroom.

As you try to exit the classroom the Danger Shop does it's magic and you suddenly find yourself in a green field. In front of you are a bunch of Jamies dressed up like different multi-colored birds. They look rather upset. Especially by the way they squawk.

Did I also mention the Jamies who are a fair distance away wearing green pig outfits? Hiding behind a wooden bunker?

Oh yeah, and there's a giant slingshot.

Do the math.

And just as you demolish the Jamie!Pigs' bunker the Danger Shop plays some music, three stars appear along with a door to....

What appears to be a Japanese dojo.

Where you appear to pelted by various types of fruit from unknown sources in the room.

Luckily there are samurai swords available to defend yourself.

After you get a multiple combos of fruit slicing... a door appears.

And Jamie is there to greet you with breakfast buffet, including croissants, bagels and various breads you can toast.

And a giant butter cow.

"You look hungry! Enjoy some brunch!"

Who might still not understand why it had to be a butter cow.

And congratulate him on curing your addiction to Angry Birds!

Yep. Making you work your way through a real life Angry Birds with dupes as ammo and targets.

And the fruit thing with swords is just fun.

This had to be a trick, right? Had to be. There was no way it wasn't. And even if it wasn't... Annie wasn't sure she knew how to cut class. And was she allowed to cut class? She was StuCo co-president. What if word got around that she was a class-cutter?

"This has to be a trick, right?" she said, to no one in particular.

Dave hated to be skeptical of what seemed to be a relatively sane assignment, but, well, when was the last time something sane was assigned.

He started to look around, as if something might jump out from nowhere and try to give him a noogie.

Dave was trying to do the math. But he was from the year 1980. He had no idea what the hell was happening here.

"I have no idea what the hell is happening here," he said.

A Jamie started bouncing in front of Dave. In a red outfit. And Squawking.

SQUAWK!

See? Squawking.

And the he jumped into the sling shot.

"I think I need to start drinking before I come to class," Dave said. Obviously he was supposed to use the slingshot. He didn't even know what he was supposed to shoot Jamie at, but he pulled back on the slingshot and let go, hoping something would make sense eventually.

"SQQQQQQUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAWK!"

The Jamie flew through the air where it bounced off the wooden structure shaking it slightly.

All the pigs giggled.

Now there was a yellow Jamie in front of Dave.

"Squawk?"

"Get in the slingshot," Dave said. This was madness. But he kind of wanted to shut those stupid pig Jamies up now. He would destroy their structure.

Look. You do not go through life as Annie without a fair bit of rage at certain things.

She had a chance to hit her teacher with her teacher using a slingshot and it looked mandatory.

"Let's do this," she said, wondering how exactly you fit a Jamie in a slingshot.

Claudia looked nonplussed. "And I didn't even get a chance to tell him that Bayside only had seventy-four trombones."

She'd say she had a bad feeling about this, but that somehow seemed cliche.

"Gladly." Pen in one hand, notebook in the other, he marched off to the exit.

It was a trap. He knew it. He just knew it.
