"Hello, class," Anakin said. "Welcome back ~~to this, the second day after my granddaughter's wedding...~~ I trust that by being in class, you have recovered from the weekend and are no longer praying for death or amnesia, and will be able to participate fully in this discussion."

He went to the board and scrawled: "Utilitarianism: it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong," then turned to face his students. "Do you think this is true? If what gives the majority pleasure is watching Christians getting eaten by lions, or a four-day-marathon of Fear Factor, does that make it right? What will protect the rights of the individual--who in this example might be a Christian who enjoys PBS--or do those really matter?"

Jack was there. With probably the biggest cup of coffee you have ever seen.

It was almost worth dealing with all the crazy to have coffee back.

Others might disagree.

Nathan was still a little grumpy because of what his other self who totally wasn't him by a fucking long shot had done this past weekend but he was there.

He really, really wanted to light up a smoke to keep himself calm but he had a feeling that the professor of this class might take an unholy amount of glee in punishing him so he just slouched at his desk and tapped his fingers.

Luke was also enjoying both the return of coffee and fall by having a huge pumpkin spice latte. Best thing about autumn, really.

Yeah, Toby was pretty much over the weirdness of the weekend. Although he might feel differently of h happened to run in to Sam. And he was still freaking shoeless. Sigh. But he was here and even reasonably awake, thanks to the return of caffiene.

Topher was in the "happily doing his own thing" camp, thanks. So, so happily.

He was playing video games under the table. Fun.

Annie was mostly dealing with the weekend okay now. Except that she had class with Luke, and she wasn't used to kissing a lot of people, let alone ones she didn't know, so she really had no idea what protocol was here. Did you look at them? Not look?

Annie was just going to get ready to take notes and not look anywhere.

Luke wasn't sure of the post-SOW "Made out with somebody when I thought I was somebody else" protocol either, but he figured an apology or something was in order.

"Um, hey," Luke said as he approached Annie. "Annie, right?"

See, he had totally been paying attention to this StuCo stuff.

She looked up, saw who it was, and wondered if she could get away with playing it casual. "That's me. Oh, hey, it's you," she said, like she hadn't been trying not to look over there or anything.

"Yeah, it's me. I'm Luke, by the way," he said, not feeling too awkward about having to introduce himself since he wasn't a stranger to the nameless makeout. It was just usually under different circumstances.

"I, uh, just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the other day," he said. "I'm not usually that...forceful and dramatic."

"Oh, don't even worry," Annie told him. "I'm sorry, too. I don't usually do that sort of thing. And I'm not usually a doctor, either. Maybe that goes without saying."

"It'd be kind of weird if a doctor was still in high school," he said with a nod. "You didn't try to perform surgery on anybody or anything, did you?"

"No. Though I did declare someone dead," she replied. "...Hopefully the last time I ever do that."

"Yeah? I got murdered by my ex-boyfriend," Luke shared. "Hopefully that's the last time that happens as well."

Ex-boyfriend. So at least Annie could say there probably wouldn't be any 'But that kiss was nice,' like Sam had been talking about.

"Ouch. If it makes you feel any better, I died of caffeine."

Hey, hey. Luke liked girls just as much as he liked guys and he got murdered for saying so, thank you very much.

Luke lifted his eyebrows. "Were your drinking Four Loko or something?"

"Just coffee. It was weird, like I reacted like someone who had no idea what coffee actually does." Like the writers couldn't be bothered to do research.

"That's...weird." Luke tapped his fingers against his coffee cup before giving Annie an apologetic look. "I should probably let you know my ex gets pissy about stupid things and even though we're broken up he might give you stink eye if you ever see him 'cause I told him your name when he asked who I made out with over the weekend. Just ignore him."

Luke had no evidence to back this up other than it was how he would react to Marshall if he ever saw him.

Juliet was there behind sunglasses, giving all of her classmates the side-eye. She'd never known the school was such a bastion of anti-twin prejudice. She'd spent the day before in her room, losing herself in as much online shopping as a girl could manage.

Peter was slouched in his seat, trying very hard not to visibly feel sorry for himself. Eugh.

He also had coffee.

Angelica was feeling better since yesterday, but that still didn't mean she was going to be looking anyone in the eye for fear they were judging her.

Seifer, after hearing the news that morning, was just slumped in his seat, a huge mug of coffee in hand to deal with the hangover from last night.

After the weirdness of this past weekend, Hanna was actually grateful for something normal like going to class. Oh, and drinking coffee. That helped, too.

Hank occasionally clasped his hands to his head, because his brain still hurt.

Lucrezia was here, though still hoping to blend into the background. She had yet to spot two of her three 'husbands' from this weekend, and she was not eager to do so.
