The Library is Open (10/31/05)

After harassing asking Jaye about the next hockey practice, Janet walked over to the library. She took down the sign, unlocked the library door, and quickly hid the food behind the Collections Desk for the staff. She stuck up a "do not touch" sign on the books yet to be shelved, frowned again at the scorch marks on the ceiling--Methos could clean them off himself, damn it--and sat down to pretend to work.

"Thank you," Grissom nods, and shuffles off. He is gone for about a half and hour and returns. He has three books - one on modern law in Fandom, and two on estate and will planning. "May I check these out here?"

Do you have a library card, sir?

"I'm sorry, I was unaware a staff ID would not be sufficient. May I apply now?"

Yes, sir. *pulls out a library card application and a black pen* You don' have to read the rules and regulations, though, since you're faculty. An' your card will be ready tomorrow. You can pick it up and check these out then...if you'd like I can hold them behind the desk for you.

Grissom fills out his library card application and hands it back to her. "Thank you, I will stop by tomorrow. Do you have a Xerox machine here, by any chance? I only need to review a few sections of these texts, it... I'd rather not wait, if I could help it. The reason I need them is... fairly important and time sensitive."

Of course, Professor Grissom. The copy machine's by the card catalogue.

"Thank you." He leaves, and makes a few copies he sticks in his brief case. He returns the books to the counter. "I have another quick question, if I could. I'd like to put some readings on reserve for my classes. Would that be possible?"

I'm not actually sure. You'll have to ask Professor Pierson about that.

"I will contact him, in that case. Thank you, Miss..." he trails off, hoping she will fill in her name.

Hopeless-Savage. Zero Hopeless-Savage.

"Miss Hopeless-Savage." He nods and smiles, "Thank you very much for all your help. I have to get to class, oh, would you like a piece of candy?" He fumbles with his briefcase and offers her her choice of all the candy he is bringing to his classes.

Oh, thank you, Professor. *takes a piece of candy* I like your costume, by the way.

"Thank you. Everyone has the one thing they secretly wanted to be growing up, why not spend one day of the year at least playing the part, right? Have a Happy Halloween. Goodbye."
