Open Classroom: Journalism
Sometime early morning on Saturday, Krycek reached the Journalism classroom to open it for students and parents to visit.
Around the room are several projects with attention grabbing posters and fliers.
Say Yes to Body Art! [Warning: Some disturbing imagery]
Say Yes to Unprotected Sex!
Say Yes to Vampires!
Say Yes to Student Government Accountability!
Say Yes to Celine Dion!
Say Yes to Smoking! [Warning: Also disturbing, maybe.]
The large screens up at the head of the class are set up to display various images, some of them of the students during classtime, some of them current news footage - all are turned to a very low volume so as to allow conversation at reasonable levels.
Then he sits down at his group's project to wait, occasionally thwapping candy teeth into submission.
[ooc: You may want to have a member of your group comment below if they are sitting with your project in order to answer questions. Also, if you have an updated link or one you'd rather have linked to for your project, please let me know.]

"That's an excellent arguement Dree. It doesn't gloss over the obvious negativities towards tattos and still addresses the concern over needles in a positive way. You know, I think I like this school," he tells her.
"Now tell me about the competition, and why your projects better," he says, winking.

"Say Yes to Vampires - well, that's obviously a backlash about all the brouhaha paranoia directed at Angelus.. he's the boy in the middle picture, with the puppy, earlier this year. You remember, we called you about that. However, as much as we like Angelus, and for all that his .. condition.. isn't his fault, the posters almost look like they're encouraging other people to become soulless bloodsuckers and," she teases her father, "the world has enough lawyers as it is! Hee! Anyway.. another thing we don't really believe impressionable, impulsive teenagers should be encouraged to pursue. Vampirisim.. fatal and non-refundable."
"Say Yes to Student Government Responsibility - they make a very good point, the StuCo should be responsible for their positions now that they've been elected to them.. but since when, in the history of the world, has any elected official ever lived up to their campaign promises?" She muses for a moment and adds hastilly, "And do not bring up either Hitler or President Carter. One promised to be a tyrant and the other we're pretty sure is a saint in human form, so they're both off the ballot for this."
"Say Yes to Celine Dion - really, Pater - Celine Dion? Would you like a point by point bulletin on how she's the female version of Michael Bolton with slightly better hair? No? Thought not."
"Say Yes to Smoking - obviously going for the reverse psychology angle, and," she admits, "this one is our only real competition. They make a very good argument for the consequences of smoking, however, the pictures are so large, and so disgusting, people can see the image long before they can read the words, and they have time to avert their eyes before reading the message at all - and are likely to blow it off, since if they're addicted to nicotine, they're going to be defensive and in denial anyway." She muses, "If we were going to do that campaign, we would've made the 'Say Yes' really big right in the middle, and down one side, done all the rumours teenagers hear or reasons they give for smoking, and down the right side, made a list of all the consequences of tobacco use with tiny thumbnails pictures of the effects." She adds, "Also, the jaw-cancer picture? Where the guy's missing his lower jaw? That's from chewing tobacco, not smoking."
"So.. ours conveys a positive message, doesn't encourage anything irreversable, is more artistically pleasing, and doesn't promote an aging Las Vegas performer."
