Open Classroom: Journalism

Sometime early morning on Saturday, Krycek reached the Journalism classroom to open it for students and parents to visit.

Around the room are several projects with attention grabbing posters and fliers.

The large screens up at the head of the class are set up to display various images, some of them of the students during classtime, some of them current news footage - all are turned to a very low volume so as to allow conversation at reasonable levels.

Then he sits down at his group's project to wait, occasionally thwapping candy teeth into submission.

"It is," she murmurs. "Though that would be a very scary visit."

"What, you don't think I could get along with your family? Am I too lower class for them?" he teases.

Rory chuckles. "Hardly. In fact, I think my grandpa would probably like you even more than Emily does." She arches a brow. "Now, if we could get my mom to like you? Then we're home free."

"Stranger things have happened," Logan smiles.

"And then maybe after that, you and Parker will become friends," Rory replies, smiling.

"Stranger things have happened," admits Logan. "By the way, can you get my key back from her?"

"No," Rory replies. "But I can be there when you ask her nicely to give it back."

Logan rolls his eyes.

"Please?" Rory appeals, making her eyes as big and sad as possible. "For me? It'd make me very happy, since you're both important to me."

Logan lets out a deep sigh. "I'll ask her for the key. Nicely. That's it."

"And maybe you could both make an effort to be nice to each other?" she wheedles.

"Tell you what, if she's nice to my friends, I'll be nice to her," says Logan.

Rory frowns. "She's...a good friend to me?" she offers.

"If she's nice to all my friends, I'll be nice to her," Logan says, and adds, "but I won't go out of my way to bug her, okay?"

Rory smiles. "That's actually better than I had anticipated getting. And I'll make sure she does the same for you...and I'll see what I can do about maybe getting her to not actively antagonize friends of ours, okay?"
