BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Saturday Morning]
It had taken two and a half pep talks from her father to get Miley to be at least sociable today, the last half of which she was currently reading over text messages because her father couldn't figure out how to send messages that were greater than the character limit. Still, "sociable" was a far cry from her normal bubbly self. But she still had to be nice and talk to people, and she would, even if that talking to people was occasionally interrupted by texts from Lilly. (Hey, she had to read those! They could be important!)
She took a seat under the "Fandom High" banner in the airport lounge, with her three glittery pink suitcases and matching cosmetics bag all laid out on the floor in front of her. There. She could do this. If she could maintain a double life for four full years, she could survive boarding school. And maybe tonight, the president would call her back and manage to get her back into Seaview somehow!
...Hey, a girl could dream.

Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
He ran his hand through his hair, then opened his bag, rummaged through it, then closed it again, muttering something about Max not letting him bring his gamestation.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Well, hey there," she said, smiling at him in a totally not patronizing way. "I'm Miley."

Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
He was so cute and tiny! Way cuter than Oliver.
"Where are you from?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"I totally understand," she said, with an expression that verified that she really, really did. "And I'm from Tennessee! I mean, originally. Ever heard of Crowley Corners?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"So... What year are you?" He was really not good at small talk. People are difficult.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Although if that redevelopment project went as planned...
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
After a moment of this, he shakes his head, hair flopping back and forth. "What's this school like, anyway?"

"Oooookay," she said, raising her eyebrows. "That's no fun. Well, maybe there'll be a cool ferris wheel in Baltimore?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Changing the topic. Yeah. That's a good plan. "What classes are you taking?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"Um," she said, going for her phone to find the list of classes her father had sent her. "Only three. How To Avoid Misadventure, Cupcake War Crimes, and... gym."
Ew, gym.

Bart's eyes got wide and he looks around. "Party? What party?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
Re: Wait for the Shuttle!
"I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but hi." Bart was not afraid to speak his mind. He kept his heart on his sleeve and his wallet in his cargo pants side pocket.

He looked up at her and smiled, "dunno. Maybe it will be fun."

"No... Oh, Max is a friend of my grandfather who's been taking care of me for a while now. And no, my friends are good guys." He said that last part with the emphasis on the 'good.'
"I think he just wanted me to... what did he say? 'A change of pace.'"
Just then, Bart got the joke and smiled. "Change of pace... funny."

Bart caught on to 'small talk' rather quickly, but didn't really understand it.
