Anyone else have a bad feeling about that? Good. "Read your clues carefully, follow the directions of the locals--as much as you can understand them if you aren't fluent in what seems to be ancient Greek--and try not to die." With that he stepped back from the clue box.

Detour: Leaping

If you thought you were going to be learning a traditional dance, you were going to be sadly disappointed. The people of Atlantis preferred bull-leaping.

Yes, the animal. Yes, to a handstand....at least you got some tries on a non-moving bit of animal hide for as long as you wanted before attempting the bull himself?

Don't. Die. You only have to do it correctly once, then you get your next clue.

You know, for all of the freaking out that Warren did as the massive horned animal barrelled toward him, he actually managed the handstand over the bull's back like a pro. One of these days, logic would dictate that his mutant physiology was actually useful in situations like this, and he wouldn't kill precious minutes before the fact by freaking out and trying to nerve himself up to it.

It was kind of anticlimactic, really, after all the hanging back and trying to talk himself up to it that he'd done beforehand.

Oh, breasts, like Cara hadn't seen those before. Working off the logic that the one that sounded more fun probably wasn't, Cara picked leaping.

While she hadn't done anything quite like this before, she had a good sense of balance and quick reflexes. Besides the worst thing that could happen would be dying.

Not that she did.

Okay, this was just cool. If Jocelyn ignored the living-bull part, it didn't seem much different than half the training maneuvers they used at home. She tried a few times on the hide then managed to pull herself up into a handstand on her first attempt with the bull.

Goose went with the leaping option, which he actually found was relatively easy to do and managed to do in a reasonable time.

Angelica had taken dancing at the Academy, so she went with Leaping. When she saw the bull, she was sure she'd made the wrong choice. She practiced a few times, but when it came to the real thing, she changed her mind and fled to the other task.
