Parent Check-in

Rover, Martin Blank and Alanna Trebond sit at the registration table with information packets

Included in the packets are:
Your child's/ward's/whatever relationship you have with this person's Class Schedule
A Map of the School and Town
A Schedule of Events for Parents Weekend
The rules and regulations of Parents Weekend
A Coupon Book

At the desk is a sign saying:
Please sign in here for Parents Weekend

And depending who is looking at the sign it will magically say:
To ensure everyone's safety, please surrender any Firearms/Weaponry/Magical doodads that will cause harm to our students.

Your property will be returned to you before you leave.

Thank you!

ETA: Parents/Guardians are now required to check in on their own.
((OOC: In other words... If your parents are somewhat "normal" and unarmed they will not see the message. Unless they are packing some kind of weapon, and then they will be see it. Got it?))

Sharon pastes a bright smile on her face and approaches the table again, hoping someone will notice her this time.

"Hi, I'm Sharon Tyler. Jaye's sister." She gestures behind her. "I'm here to check in."

"You might want to hurry," Jaye adds. "She becomes bigger and hairier and greener with every second that passes without nicotine in her system."

"I do not get hairier! I am in possession of an average amount of hair!"

"Of course you are," Jaye says soothingly.

Marty hands Jaye the information packet.

"This was your sister you were telling me about right, Jaye?" Marty asks in a sympathetic tone."

"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?"

Jaye nods. "So you see what I was saying."

Marty suddenly understands why Jaye carries that lion with her. Family. It'll drive you nuts.

"I'm getting the idea, yeah."

"So are we good, and I can go have her contained?" Jaye asks, looking to see if Sharon's twitching from withdrawal yet.

"Oh, give me that!"

Sharon tries to grab the information packet from Jaye.

Jaye clutches the packet tightly, away from Sharon's grasp. "Nuh uh. He gave it to me."

"Well, FINE. A very nice girl gave me my own. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/288978.html?thread=14263506#t14263506)"

Marty smiles. "Well then. Everyone should be happy? Right? Family coming together?"

~~Oh thank god my family isn't here.~~

Sharon cheerfully ignores him.

"Glad to see you're special," Jaye says. She doesn't say anything like "But I got mine first," because that would make her twelve.

"Seriously, Jaye. When can we get out of here. WHEN. If I don't get out of here soon, I'm going to...um." She pulls Jaye close by her arm and says, "It won't be pretty."

Jaye shakes her head as she starts off to go to the hotel. "How about I lead the way, since I like, live here?"

"Good evening, Mrs. Tyler. Welcome to Fandom High." Alanna hands her a welcome packet. "Please enjoy your stay."

Sharon takes a moment from pestering Jaye and Marty to finally get her own information packet. She smiles sweetly at the girl.

"Oh, I'm sure I will. And it's not Mrs. Just Ms. And please, call me Sharon."

Alanna smiles back at her. "If you need anything, don't be afriad to get either Marty or myself."

"And who should I ask for, I mean besides Marty? I've met Marty."

Sharon frowned.

"We don't get along."

Alanna's smile twitches a iota. "I'm Alanna Trebond."

Unfortunately, Sharon is terrible at reading people. "So...are you a student here?"

Alanna's smile is now definetly fake. "Yes, I am ma'am. I'm the co-Securities Officer."

Sharon purses her lips. "Well, thanks for the packet. I'd have had to wrestle Jaye to the floor for the one Marty gave her, and no one wants to see that." She shrugs and turns away.
