Study Hall -- Friday, October 28th

Sarah isn't in the room, but the words "Help yourself" have been hastily scribbled on the blackboard. There's a stereo playing incredibly random music on her desk, along with some junk food and pizza, a TV with a video game hookup, and a pool table that has almost magically appeared in the corner. The puppies are wide awake and playing under Sarah's desk. It's almost as if she's bribing the students.

Piper's expression warmed her. The reaction was always fun. "3500 years give or take two hundred. Not sure if it's your future either, but that far out, it doesn't much matter."

"Oh, you have no idea." Beka mimed the headache of doom. "That's the simple stuff. Wait til you hear about time-traveling DNA, killing your grandfather..." She laughed.

"That one needs drinks. So, I'm going with no for now. But I'll tell you someday if you really want to know." Beka shook her hair back to its regular color with a pleasant but slightly wistful smile.

"I'm not gonna turn down free drinks," Piper said with a laugh. She glanced at Beka as though they had some sort of understanding.

"Deal. After this whole Parents' Weekend thing is over, we'll go out, and when we're done caring if stuff makes sense, I'll tell you the DNA story. And if Anakin's around, maybe he'll tell us about Fifi," Beka choked back a giggle at the memory of the pink-robed Jedi and wondered if she'd get a chance to meet Anakin's infamous teacher.
