Sarah isn't in the room, but the words "Help yourself" have been hastily scribbled on the blackboard. There's a stereo playing incredibly random music on her desk, along with some junk food and pizza, a TV with a video game hookup, and a pool table that has almost magically appeared in the corner. The puppies are wide awake and playing under Sarah's desk. It's almost as if she's bribing the students.

"We'll do that. And I'll be buying." She lowers her voice and says softly, "It's the least I can do."

"I'm not gonna turn down free drinks," Piper said with a laugh. She glanced at Beka as though they had some sort of understanding.

"Deal. After this whole Parents' Weekend thing is over, we'll go out, and when we're done caring if stuff makes sense, I'll tell you the DNA story. And if Anakin's around, maybe he'll tell us about Fifi," Beka choked back a giggle at the memory of the pink-robed Jedi and wondered if she'd get a chance to meet Anakin's infamous teacher.

"Me too." Beka smiled. Funny how one conversation could turn a bad day into a good one. "I'll keep an eye open for you guys and Grams tomorrow."
