The Library Is Still Closed (Sort Of)

Janet is sitting, alone, in the library, with a very determined expression on her face. Books are spread out across all the desks as she sorts them for re-shelving, and the toppled bookshelf (or two) from yesterday has not been righted yet.

She may have, however, forgotten to lock the door.


OOC: In other words, the library is technically closed, but the room is open for interaction and people to come and try to find out what happened.

"Sure thing, Janet!" Lee says helpfully and flexes his awesome arms as he manuvers the bookshelves back into place and refits the shelves that fell out.

Janet helps with this, staring at the arm-flexing and making sure that no one throws out their back.

"Thanks, guys," she says. "I wasn't looking forward to that. Can I get you to help me out with putting the books on the shelves?"

"Sure," Lee says not breaking a sweat. "Just tell me where to put what book where."

"That table," says Janet, pointing at one off to the left. "Goes on the first bookshelf. I've got them in rows based on the order they needs to go in."

Oh, well. It's better than the zombie weekend cleanup.

"Not a problem. It's typical that this happens with both Zero and Parker MIA. And apparently, the librarian too," Elizabeth adds, after looking around the library.

"Yeah, we're down to just me today, so I really appreciate the help, guys," says Janet. She goes to find the ladder and a book cart.

"Hey, it's not a problem," Elizabeth replies. "It's not like I'm doing much else today."

"I know!" exclaims Janet. "On the one day I have no other classes! I'd been counting on some quality time slacking before Parents Weekend."

"Because we're so not going to get a chance to relax this weekend," Elizabeth agrees. "I'm going to have to abandon you this afternoon though, for history and advanced negotiations. Unless they're cancelled," she adds, hope in her voice.

"Relaxation?" asked Janet. "Hardly. Not with Uncle George around. I'm sure to be yelled at for something I've done." She thinks of all the letters she hasn't written. "Or haven't done."

"Maybe your classes will be cancelled," says Janet. "Maybe you'll get lucky."

"I'll protect you," Elizabeth says, giggling. "Or you could always run and hide at Daniel's."

"I hope so. Not that speech was exactly the most taxing class ever... we watched Independence Day."

"I may well run," said Janet, laughing along with Liz. "I'm sure Daniel wouldn't mind. He said I was invited over any time." She paused. "Then again, I wouldn't put it past him to call and let them know where I was."

"Sounds like a fun class," said Janet. "I love movie days in Classics."

Elizabeth grinned. "I'm sure if you kept him otherwise... occupied, he wouldn't be able to ring," she said, raising her eyebrows suggestively.

"It is. It's my favorite class... even when we're not watching movies."
