Jono was perhaps a bit distracted today as he went about his duties in the library, straightening out this and that, making certain that the displays were all in order, checking for overdue books and, failing all of that, dusting.

And if he just so happened to be lingering in sections that had books on things like demonic possession, well, that was purely coincidence, really.

Truly.

It's snowing so hard that I can't see across the street.

Finally, the weather decided to remind me that I live in Canada and can't have green grass all year around!

Demonic possession? Why on earth would Jono need books about demonic possession? Certainly not because of the demony girlfriend come to visit him after hiding in her room all day yesterday. She was fine, really!

"Hello, Jono," Raven said. Her voice was warm and she did her best to make it seem perfectly normal, but she couldn't entirely hide the tired strain on her face.

Oh, yes, Jonothon noticed. He'd been looking for it, and couldn't quite help that small flash of concern for her when he'd looked her way.

//Well, hello, Sunshine,// he greeted, offering her a small nod. //How are you doing, today?//

He raised his eyebrows a little, waiting for the 'fine' that he imagined was nigh inevitable.

He knew her too well.

She moved close for a hug, because she was demanding that way. "I am fine," she said, fulfilling all expectations. Her brow furrowed. "But you are worried about something."

He certainly wasn't about to turn down that hug. He rather felt as though he needed one, himself.

//You look tired,// he noted, softly. //Another rough night, luv?//

She squeezed him tightly, lingering in the comfort of his arms, mustering up calm and comfort she didn't really feel to send to him. "I did not sleep well," she admitted. By which she meant at all, though that hadn't stopped her from slipping into visions of doing harm to her friends.

//More nightmares?// There was that worry again, bubbling up and vying for headspace alongside the soothing emotions she was sending his way. //They aren't getting worse, are they?//

"I am doing my best to ignore them," Raven said quietly, not quite answering the question. Nightmares while she was awake, doing things she would never do and not remembering them? Definitely worse. But admitting them would mean her friends would try to help her, and that could get them killed.

Henry looked a little askance at the sections of the library Jono lingered in and decided he could find his own reshelving to do in places a little less demonic.

//It's... not working as well as you'd like, then,// Jono noted, softly. //Is there anything that I can do?//

He wasn't expecting much of an answer to that, either. But he had to at least extend the offer.

"Just being with you helps a great deal," Raven said with a small smile. It reassured her that he was alive and unharmed by herself or her father. "But I do not wish to demand too much of your time."

"101 Ways You Might Be Possessed?" Rosalind asked, peering around him at the books he'd been dusting. She'd had to track him down when he hadn't been at the desk. "Daemonic Works Through The Ages and The Dark Road to Madness?"

She arched an eyebrow.

"Cheerful stuff."

//Demand it? Luv, if th'gel that I'm dating can't demand my time, who can?//

There was a somewhat pointed eyebrow raise to go with that.

//I've changed my shifts at Groovy Tunes over to Mondays, which means there are all of two days in a row that I work, and yer welcome to visit me at both jobs, you know that. If it comes down to sharing dreams every night, I wouldn't be opposed to that. I can... try to think happy things, or something.//

Because Jonothon was truly a fountain of very happy little thoughts.

Jono's eyes went perhaps a little wide as he flipped the book in his hand shut and stuffed it back on the shelf.

Because, you know, she hadn't just read the title aloud or anything already, no.

//Well, you know me,// he replied, hands going into his pockets, one pulling out the cloth that he'd been dusting with. //Ever th'very picture of good cheer and optimism, really.//

"Normally that extends more to your music, rather than your reading tastes," she said dryly, leaning against the shelf the book had been stuffed back onto. "And subtle."

Not at all.

"Tuesdays are very busy for me, but I have no classes on Mondays," Raven said. "So that would be perfect."

She stifled a yawn; being close and cozy with Jono was far too relaxing. "And I am always willing to share your dreams with you," she said, not without a little blush at the thought of how she'd distracted him from his nightmares before.

Ugh, leeches. The stink still burned the back of his throat and somehow it led to Jake deciding to pester Jono. Two stinks cancelled each other out? Or maybe he was missing his fellow freak. Nah, that was just not possible.

"Hey. Hard at work?"

Jonothon wasn't going to blush, no. But he was going to indulge himself in a moment spent thinking how bloody adorable it was when she did.

And then right on back to the conversation at hand.

//Yer welcome to, then, until yer nightmares shove off some,// he replied, lifting a hand to run through her hair. //Any night. You'll hear no complaints from me, Sunshine.//

//I'm also a master of subtlety,// Jono replied, shrugging his shoulders. //It was an interesting section to find my way to. And around here, demonic possession doesn't seem like something that's terribly unheard of, really, does it?//

Wonder why, Jono.

//Hardly working,// Jono replied, his tone something edging onto pleasant as he turned to face Jacob. //Back to th'realm of bipedal and sentient, I see, mate.//

He'd missed Jake. So sue him.

Oh look, someone he'd been meaning to talk to.

"Hey, Rosalind," Jake came over when he spotted her.

"Yeah, and I'm not complaining," Jake wrinkled his nose. "Turning into a wolf, I can handle. Being a stuffed one? Boring... and annoying."
