The Science of Deduction, Friday - 12/3
There was a note outside the classroom today, letting the students know to meet in the Danger Shop for class. Someone enjoyed that room a little too much for setting up examples.
"Today we'll be looking into the observation of an unaware subject," Sherlock informed them upon arrival. Hepossibly definitely gave William a sharp look. Because, really now. Really. "First lesson is that we do not accept drinks from the targets. Especially not ones who have picked up on your presence."
And that would be another look aimed at poor William.
"And if they do give you a drink, you leave because they've seen you," he added with a smile that was nowhere near genuine. "So, today you're all to spread out and attempt to observe one of your classmates without being noticed. I understand this may be a difficult task, but try to blend in."
A beat.
"Even with the hats."

Observe!
...
Hopefully.

Re: Observe!
In reality, she was playing "catch the brains," and was doing her best to observe all her classmates telepathically, seeing how many she could multitask with before one slipped away. And anyone she sensed trying to observe her would be instantly - and discreetly - flipped off as the signal that they'd been caught.
This was not cheating. It was using her resources, and Holmes ought to approve.

Stupid Jedi, with their plethora of shiny shiny powers. Why couldn't she have been a Jedi instead of a mutant?

Still, just the fact that there were people using more than their eyes for the exercise made her smile. At least for as long as it took for the fuzzy ball on the end of her hat to fall over and tickle her nose again. Sigh.

Of course, now that she was in class, she was taking notes on everything. So everyone else could observe how oh-so-scholarly she was. Clearly.
Re: Observe!
There was a pile of hats on the floor of her room big enough for Nana to make a nest in, though, so she didn't bother trying to take thing off again.
Re: Observe!
Plus, that would have felt a little creepy, probably.
Re: Observe!
She rested her head on her desk and let her eyes roam the classroom.
