Detention, Early Saturday Morning
Zoe had hoped that she'd be able to get through the rest of semester without having to deal with anyone getting detention, but, as usual, some of the boys had to ruin things by fighting in class.
Instead of doing it in private like sane individuals, of course. Grace was definitely going to learn better than that when she got older.
She'd lefthavdwavey messages for Percy and Nico to meet her in the school's cafeteria, and was glad when both of them showed up, bright and early as requested. Apparently, they still had a few braincells left in their heads. "All right, come with me," she said, leading them back into the kitchen, and pointing to the dirty pots, dishes, and silverware stacked all over the counters. "These are the dishes from the school's Thanksgiving dinner. When they are all clean, you may leave. If I find even one dish broken, we will do this all over again next weekend. If there is bloodshed, we will do this all over again next weekend. Are we clear?"
She turned and left without waiting for an answer, perfectly certain that she had been clear. Plus, the smell of the two day old food was a little overwhelming, and she wasn't going to stick around in that kitchen any longer than she had to.

She'd left

He was momentarily distracted by the thought that it'd be hella cool to see if he could get the guys to hum something entertaining while they worked. Nico'd never tried noises before, but they grunted during battle, so there was always the chance...

And that he'd helped bring about the fall of his own Luke without getting to know the guy.

His undead dudes were nearing the end of their work, but it was getting sloppier with Nico's lack of focus.

You know, the hole in the ground.

Nico concentrated hard and the floor of the kitchen rumbled, smashing everything back into place where it belonged. The only reminder that the boys had gotten help in their task was the giant crack in the tile floor where the hole had been. "'Dat 'ooks 'ad," Nico said around the sticky peanut butter.
