Detention, Early Saturday Morning

Zoe had hoped that she'd be able to get through the rest of semester without having to deal with anyone getting detention, but, as usual, some of the boys had to ruin things by fighting in class.

Instead of doing it in private like sane individuals, of course. Grace was definitely going to learn better than that when she got older.

She'd left havdwavey messages for Percy and Nico to meet her in the school's cafeteria, and was glad when both of them showed up, bright and early as requested. Apparently, they still had a few braincells left in their heads. "All right, come with me," she said, leading them back into the kitchen, and pointing to the dirty pots, dishes, and silverware stacked all over the counters. "These are the dishes from the school's Thanksgiving dinner. When they are all clean, you may leave. If I find even one dish broken, we will do this all over again next weekend. If there is bloodshed, we will do this all over again next weekend. Are we clear?"

She turned and left without waiting for an answer, perfectly certain that she had been clear. Plus, the smell of the two day old food was a little overwhelming, and she wasn't going to stick around in that kitchen any longer than she had to.

"So long as no one steps directly on it, we're good," Nico said, looking pleased with Percy's work. "And look how we barely broke a sweat." Even if he was so going to be napping later.

"Not bad not bad," Percy agreed, nodding. "Thanks for raising your guys up. Made today a lot easier."

"Thanks for adding in the water power," Nico replied, moving close enough to offer his ring hand to Percy.

"No problem," Percy said, reaching out to give Nico's hand a shake and avoiding the powerful ring as he did. "Guess we're done then."

"Wasn't so bad," Nico said, shaking his hand happily. "Time for my nap." Maybe he'd kick Luke out just in case.

"Let's go," Percy said, opening the door and calling up some hot water to melt the ice block. That'd dry eventually. They just needed to step through the puddle.
