Unconventional Tactics, Tuesday, Period 2
"Yo, Rookies!" Bet you all missed that, huh? Reno was grinning extra wide today, possibly because he missed you all. Or maybe for the same reason that he had left a few more buttons undone on his shirt than usual, today. Because he could. "Today, we're gonna get into some more practical crap than usual, yo. For the next couple of weeks, I'm gonna shamelessly turn these classes into semi-meetings like them three groups that have formed on this island to keep everybody all safe an' shit."
Really, it was probably a huge relief to be kept all 'safe and shit,' right?
"I ain't gonna tackle 'em in any particular order of importance, because they all three got their strengths to 'em. But I'll tackle Support today, just because I think you can all get some good outta our in-class assignment if anything smacks us hard in the near future, yo."
He nodded back toward his desk, which was full of assorted bandages and antiseptics, a few bottles of dubious-looking fluids from Reno's home, a couple of really random looking items all labelled up neatly, and a few sheets of paper with the phone numbers for the clinic and the trooper station written on them, as well as Reno's own. Under that, there was a good amount of space left to fill up with whatever else students seemed to think might be important.
"Emergency kits," he announced. "With some basic first-aid crap, some emergency contact lists for you to fill in with what you think is important- My name's on there, yo. That ain't for pleasure calls or shit like that. Call me if you got some kinda invading critter breathin' down your throat and you need a quick rescue. Unless you can think of someone better. I won't be heartbroken, so long as you make it outta there alive. And if you're feelin' brave, I got some basic healing items and some of the less dangerous attack items from where I'm from to throw in there, too."
Sorry, kids. He wasn't going to hand you any poisons or instant death items today.
"Get to it, Rookies."

Re: Talk to Reno
"And probably more than you'd have shown me, if I always went with you."
Or with Zack. But neither of them kept watch on her all the time.
Re: Talk to Reno
Not so great for seeing what the great and mighty Midgar once had to offer, really.
"You got the right idea, takin' off and lookin' Midgar over on someone else's turf, anyhow. There ain't much I can show you from where I'm standin'. The only things that ruins'll tell you is how hard you been hit. Can't even get a decent body count unless you go diggin'."
Re: Talk to Reno
And everyone was useless! She was going to get caught at this rate and that meant Ino hated everyone.
Which was unfair. But. Well. Since when had being unfair stopped Ino?
[So I totally crashed out last night and am made of fail, bb. I AM SORRY.]
Re: Talk to Reno
He pursed his lips a little, thinking it over, and then he shrugged.
"If you really wanna know more, might be safer to check out Kalm or somethin', back on my Gaia. Kalm's actually doin' pretty damn well. Maybe the only place on The Planet enjoyin' an economy boom, since so many of the survivors from Midgar made their way there, zoto."
[OMG HOW DARE YOU SLEEP. xD Dude, it's fiiiine.]
Re: Talk to Reno
Because, who knew? He definitely didn't want her poking around some places, she knew that.
Re: Talk to Reno
Really, better Kalm than Nibelheim. Or Gongaga.
Re: Talk to Reno
"What 'bout Nibelheim too?" she asked, with a headtilt. "Shouldn't I see where I'm supposed to have been from?"
Re: Talk to Reno
Ignorance was possibly the best excuse he could come up with to steer her away from what had gone on in his own Gaia's past, without actually outright lying.
Re: Talk to Reno
Maybe they could hit it while getting to Rocket Town finally?
"I'll look into that then," she said, with a bob of her head.
A beat.
"You know anything 'bout the music scene in Midgar prior to everythin'?"
Sadly, that was connected.
Re: Talk to Reno
...
That probably pretty much answered that, huh?
Re: Talk to Reno
"I'll look into that too, then."
Really, she knew a bit just from listening and wandering around Midgar on her own, but...
