Library, Saturday - 10/9

With his sassy sweater Blackagar was in the music part of the library today, looking over as many books on this 'Jazz' thing as he could before the upcoming outing to listen to some. A good idea of what he was going to be dealing with was always for the best.

...and hopefully there wasn't a special outfit he'd need. Clothing was really more Medusa's forte.

Were you supposed to wear special clothes for jazz? No one had told Medusa. They should have told her. All she had was this eye-searing jacket. It was perhaps best not to ask where she'd gotten it. "Blackagar?" she called as she entered the library. She knew he was in here somewhere. He had to be. He was very reliable like that.

Peeking out from the row he'd been in, Blackagar waved upone spotting that jacket Medusa. He was totally reliable like that. Plus, it gave him time to research things.

"Are you busy?" Medusa asked. "I can come back. Or wait quietly."

Blackagar just gave her an amused look. As though he'd manage to get too busy to speak with her. It was Saturday, after all. Sunday was the busy library day.

Yes, well, if he had a giant gaping hole where his jaw was supposed to be, he might get all the attention, too.

...it would also solve a number of problems. But Medusa wasn't advocating it at all.

"Well, as long as I'm not intruding," she said with a smile.

That just wasn't possible, if you asked Blackagar. Not that many people would, but there you go. He held up a book on jazz, giving her a little shrug.

It seemed interesting now.

"I thought it did, when I was at the museum," she agreed. "I hope you'll like it."

If she liked it, he was bound to as well, wasn't he?

Although... perhaps not so much with the cheerleading. The Glee Club seemed intent on getting him and the other boys in one of those skirts. Medusa, you clearly must protect him from this!

"Well, I don't know what the Mickey thing is," she admitted, "but I'm sure you'd look very becoming in one of those skirts," she said. Evilly.

"Well, I'll have to wear one, if I make the cheerleading team," she pointed out. "It's only fair."

He hadn't even tried out for this team! And he'd already decided to become a Goth. Whatever that was.

All his research brought him was books on architecture.

"You've decided to become a style of architecture?" Medusalith said, momentarily taken aback, but she respected his choices and recovered with, "How very novel!"

Which was only confusing, but it seemed to mean something to people here. Jono claimed to be one, after all. And he didn't look necessarily building like.

"Yes, but he also smells strongly of burning tires." Whereas at worst, she and Blackagar smelled strongly of dog.

But he did speak in minds. Perhaps the smell was related to that then?

"Perhaps!" She really hoped it was not related to being a 'Goth.' Really. "Would it be rude to ask?"

If they were polite about it, it shouldn't be, right? If he was... different... like them, it was something to be celebrated then. Or one of those mutants people mentioned in class!

"That's true!" Medusalith said. "Oh, but they don't know about our...differences, though."

Stupid Council. Making her life hard.

That didn't mean they should be so... human about how they reacted to others differences, did it? It would be wrong to pretend on that one.

"That's true," she agreed. "It really would be wrong." Blackagar was so wise. Also, handsome and powerful.

Clearly it was all due to the handsome.

Though, the last time he tried to talk to someone about differences being beauty, they reacted oddly.

"That would be because they all look the same," Medusalith said with a shrug. "Well. Basically the same. Have you seen their 'celebrities'? You can't tell half of them apart."

He tended to avoid the magazines. They only gave him a headache with all the unnecessary gossip about unimportant little actors. How terribly skewed were their priorities?

"It's ridiculous, I know," she scoffed. "But it keeps their tiny minds happy."

Someone was a little stuck-up, yes.
