Study Hall -- Monday, October 24th

Sarah sits at the front desk, a large pile of romance novel notes school-related documents sitting in front of her. She occasionally glances at the stack thoughtfully as if she's trying to come up with an idea and failing miserably.

Instead, however, she's been drawing mushroom clouds on the blackboard. She appears to have had a lot of practice at it.

OOC: Give me a couple of days to finish the romance novel chapter, 'kay? Sarah and I are both having a bit of writer's block on the subject, but we should be fine. ;)

"I don't see why. I took to them quite well. Your father showed me his model trains while we enjoyed cigars together."

Wednesday's eyebrows climbed even higher as she broke the seal and opened the envelope. "I am pleased to hear that you had a good time," she murmured, scanning the letter with a very faint smile.

"I was thinking -- about what you said before. That the conspiracy around is much vaster. After meeting your family, I am convinced of it. There's a patch in the world that's going absolutely right. I see now just how corrupt everything else has become."

Glancing up from her letter, Wednesday's smile was turned on Six for a brief instant before fading into her more typical solemn expression. "Did Uncle Fester tell you about the Bermuda Triangle? The cover-up there is only part of a larger, global conspiracy, supported by suburbanites and others whose goal is to sustain the status quo at all costs."

"He did. I was appalled. After liberation of Fandom High, we must do something about the West Indies. Soccer moms the world over must be halted in their meglomaniacal bid for sameness."

"Soccer moms and their suburbanite allies are very well organized," Wednesday pointed out. "The mass media is entirely in their favor. It would take to be a carefully protected cell of liberal thinkers to overthrow them."

She eyed him thoughtfully. "As to the liberation of Fandom High, that might actually be more difficult. They listen and watch everything, you know."

"Of course... But you know how hard it is to find suitable allies. Everyone here is a potential spy for the Conspiracy. Dean Bristow has his dogs very well trained." He looked up -- people were leaving. "Ah, it appears that Study Hall is ending. Shame. Perhaps we can pick this conversation up at a later date."

Wednesday nodded, gathering her books. "I look forward to it."
