Study Hall -- Monday, October 24th

Sarah sits at the front desk, a large pile of romance novel notes school-related documents sitting in front of her. She occasionally glances at the stack thoughtfully as if she's trying to come up with an idea and failing miserably.

Instead, however, she's been drawing mushroom clouds on the blackboard. She appears to have had a lot of practice at it.

OOC: Give me a couple of days to finish the romance novel chapter, 'kay? Sarah and I are both having a bit of writer's block on the subject, but we should be fine. ;)

Duce heads into Study Hall, reading one of the school newspapers. Slouching into a seat, she grins at the articles.

Han arrives early, before Geo, and sits quietly, attempting to draw something. He doesn't seem to be having much success as the rapidly growing pile of crumpled paper attests.

Number 6 sits, surprised to be one of the first there. The letter to Wednesday is burning a hole in his jacket pocket... perhaps literally.

Duce continues to read her paper, but several of her snakes covertly watch Han. She didn't give any sign of acknowledging him, content to maintain her anonymity on the other side of the room. Or possibly afraid that if she got too close, certain parts of his anatomy might rise like a double headed hydra from behind his zipper and menace her! so totally never letting go of that cuz zomgFUNNAY!

Jayne was a bruiser, a big, strapping simian type who looked as though he could handle himself in a fight. Heck, she half expected him to roar and start beating his chest like King Kong every time she saw him. The way he'd reacted, such a completely cowed manner, to the sight of Han the other day definitely had piqued Duce's interest.

She calmly flipped the page of her paper.

After his morning classes Draco comes into the study hall, coffee in one hand and the Fandom High Times in the other.
After scanning through the articles his eyes stop at the ad. Yes, the ad.

And yes, coffee was spit out.

"Potter." he says vindictively. The paper ripped in his hands. Draco wasn't much for metaphors but if revenge was a dish best served cold then Potter was about to eat Thanksgiving leftovers.

Kiki, sitting at her desk with a book propped up on it, peeks over the top of the pages surreptitiously. Oh yes, oh yes, that look was beautiful. Glorious. Bona fide art. She can barely keep from squirming in her chair with glee, and she bites the insides of her lips to keep a giggle from escaping. Phase one of Operation: Drive Draco Dotty was an unequivocable success.

Wednesday was also relatively early, her East Asian History and Biology texts under one arm as she entered. She had a long day of studying ahead and was hoping to get a head start. Choosing a seat, she settled down to work.

Cameron enters the study hall, he looks around hopefully but his shoulders sag as he doesn't seem to find who he is looking for.

Phoebe shows up after her meeting with Dean Bristow and moves to sit at Cole's side.

Angelus came into Study Hall. He made a beeline for a seat by the windows and reclined in one as though trying to get a tan via the light that came through the necrotempered glass.

A tan while fully dressed, granted, but still. A vamp could dream.

Bridge wanders in to Study Hall and finds a spot where he can work on Anders' new lock, which is almost finished.

Kiki shifts in her seat and rests her chin on her hand as if she's still reading her book. She's really pinching her lips together with her fingers to keep from laughing.

Veronica stopped by study hall before her classes and walked over to where Angelus was seated.

"Hey," she said with a grin. "I know we're going for coffee later for your official interview, but I wanted to thank you for sparking the idea." She tilted her head which obviously means no male in a 50 yard radius will be able to say no to her and said, "I was wondering if you could do me another favor."

"Veronica Mars," Angelus said totally falling victim to the head tilt because none can resist that. "Sure, what do you need?"

Piper wanders into study hall, looking over some of her notes before classes start.

"Well, I was hoping you would put a good word in for me with your friends in JA so I can interview them for additional articles," she said. "I don't want to just walk up to someone and say 'Oh yeah, I heard you were a demon/wizard/etc, mind if I interview you?'."

"No problem," Angelus said. "I was going to send them an email later today about Parents' Weekend. I can include the mention in that if you like."

"That would be great," she said. "Oh, and where are you on that bake sale for Parents Weekend? Do I need to bust out my amazing baking skills?"
