Study Hall -- Monday, October 24th

Sarah sits at the front desk, a large pile of romance novel notes school-related documents sitting in front of her. She occasionally glances at the stack thoughtfully as if she's trying to come up with an idea and failing miserably.

Instead, however, she's been drawing mushroom clouds on the blackboard. She appears to have had a lot of practice at it.

OOC: Give me a couple of days to finish the romance novel chapter, 'kay? Sarah and I are both having a bit of writer's block on the subject, but we should be fine. ;)

Duce smiles wryly, "If we hadn't spent another night sleepless, or if we'd been warned this morning so we could dress to suit a picture, we'd say sure.. but for now, gonna have to go with the no. Sorry to disappoint. Maybe later, though, after work, when we have time to clean up."

Marty gives Duce a concerned look at the "sleepless night" comment.

"All right. I'll give you a pass if you're not feeling photogenic. Just let me know where to be for the whole campaign thing. You're doing okay right? I mean going without sleep can be pretty bad for your health. You were having some bad nightmares the last time I talked to you. Is this part of it?"

Nodding her thanks, Duce answers, "Don't know if 'ok' would fit the bill. Still not sleeping terribly well, but we went to the clinic yesterday and Volleyball ran some bloodwork. We'll see how it goes."

She hesitates a moment and adds, "Saw Paige while we were in there. She looked really rough, but said something about being fixed. So maybe all the emowanking trouble is over finally. You talked to her yet at all?"

Marty frowns and shakes her head. "No. I got caught up looking into that whole freak-out session that happened in Spike's Pub last Wednesday. I've been doing some independent investigation into the matter to find out what exactly happened. I'm glad to hear that Paige is doing better though."

"Oh? Find out anything interesting about that? It got a mention in The Tentacle this morning," Duce inquires.

"Wouldn't say Paige was doing better. She looked pretty wrecked. Think maybe a few consequence pigeons are coming home to roost. Can't say we feel terribly sorry for her. A little, yeah, but.. not too much."

Marty nods. "We all have to live with the consequences of our actions. Believe me, I know how that works."

"Yeah I read the tentacle this morning and George Lass wrote an article about it as well. Turns out those two clowns that hang out in front of the kwik stop released the gas. Only thing is those two dips couldn't put together something like that. I questioned them yesterday and they gave up the fact that a student here provided them with the gas." Marty says quite loudly and clearly than perhaps he normally would.

"Keep that under your hat though because I haven't finished questioning questioned the student yet."

Duce smiles wryly at Marty, "Yeah, guess you would at that."

Blinking in surprise - a gesture more felt than seen, due to glasses, she scoffs, "The stoners? Mr. Clit Monkey and his fat friend?" Considering something, she asks, "Are they sure it was a student? Drusilla isn't very old. Well, she's old but she doesn't look old, and it sounds like this'd be something right up her alley. Really, how would they know?"

Marty shakes his head. "Anything is possible, but from what I can tell it looks like someone was setting up loudmouth and lunchbox for the fall. Drusilla seems to have no problem doing her own work. Doesn't really sound like her MO. I also don't know if she has the ability to make such a compound."

Duce frowns, "Even they don't deserve that. Interesting. You're right about Drusilla.. she.. seems like the type who wouldn't be afraid to get her hands dirty, and now that we think about it.. aren't she and Spike a couple? Heard he was pissed about that shit contaminating his place."
