Study Hall -- Monday, October 24th

Sarah sits at the front desk, a large pile of romance novel notes school-related documents sitting in front of her. She occasionally glances at the stack thoughtfully as if she's trying to come up with an idea and failing miserably.

Instead, however, she's been drawing mushroom clouds on the blackboard. She appears to have had a lot of practice at it.

OOC: Give me a couple of days to finish the romance novel chapter, 'kay? Sarah and I are both having a bit of writer's block on the subject, but we should be fine. ;)

Marty arrives in study hall with his new digital camera that he got for working on the yearbook. He considers taking a picture of Principal Connor but doesn't like the potential consequences.

Instead he just bugs everyone in the room.

Lana smiles at him. "New camera, huh?"

"Yeah, I got it for the yearbook. We're going to be doing a spread on all the doppelgangers/clones we have running around here. Mind if I take your photo?"

"Uh, sure, I guess. I don't think I have any lookalikes at the school, though."

"Well... you never know who will show up in town. Like that girl who looks exactly like Rory. Besides I should just get pictures of everyone else too. Gives everybody something to scribble on at the end of the year."

Marty snaps a picture of Lana.

"So how've you been? We haven't really chatted in class lately and I was kind of out of it when we had detention together."

Lana smiles, "Things have been going well. Really well." She blushes a little. "I don't know if you'd heard, but I've been, um, seeing a lot of Archie Kennedy, the guy who went to Homecoming with me. That's kind of taken up a lot of my free time. How have you been?"

She pauses, "Oh and hey, I really appreciated your support in detention - even though you may have been a little out of it, I knew I could count on you if things got hairy."

Marty grins. "Yeah I've heard something to the effect of you and Archie getting together. That's great. Angela and I broke up last week and we're trying to do the whole 'friend' thing but I don't know if that's going to work. You know how it is."

"Not a problem with detention but still," Marty says as he shudders somewhat comically, "those cockroaches freaked me out."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear about you and Angela. That's too bad. I hope, if nothing else, that the friend thing will work. And if you ever want to talk... please don't hesitate to come find me." She gives him a sympathetic smile. "Been there and done that, as they say."

"The cockroaches?" Lana shudders too. "Those were the scariest part of the whole thing. Which I suppose is good given what else we could have encountered."
