BWI Airport | Portalocity Lounge | Saturday Morning
Madison was not pleased when she pushed open the door to the lounge with the Fandom High sign on the door. Like it wasn't bad enough that she had to deal with being dead, now Ron decided to send her to some lame summer camp so Kairos and Nakita couldn't find her.
She slumped in one of the chairs near the door. There was a black suitcase decorated with stickers sitting next to her and a dirty yellow and black backpack at her feet. Her eyes were glued to the door in search of any danger that might be incoming - in the form of dark reapers or new classmates.

Re: Waiting
It might seem a little weird that Quinn's cheer coach was making private school recommendations ... but Sue Sylvester was a little weird.

She did not promise not to giggle if he said chess club.
Re: Waiting
He realized that might be a lot to take in. For now he probably should have said the prefect thing and left the rest alone. Something about this girl made him want to talk.
Re: Waiting
"Wow," Quinn observed. "You just sort of slid that supernatural thing in there like it totally made sense. That was pretty cool." She leaned forward. "Prefect is like class president, right?"
Re: Waiting
As to the supernatural thing - "I was raised from birth to be aware of the threat of vampires and demons," he explained. Then, smugly, "I've actually faced a number of them myself."
Re: Waiting
She couldn't back away, so she settled for the eye contact and the not arguing. "That's a completely new one on me."
Re: Waiting
Well, that was that, he figured. No more talking to pretty girls, ever.
Re: Waiting
She lifted the delicate gold cross she wore at her neck, as if displaying it. "This always works against them in movies."
Re: Waiting
"And besides," he added, trying to make her feel more comfortable, "I'm trained to protect you."
Re: Waiting
You know, expecting that would be never.
Re: Waiting
He decided it'd be best to change the subject to avoid future panic attacks. "So, cheerleading," he said, awkwardly. "My old school didn't have a cheerleading team, or in fact any sports at all. Did you enjoy it?"
Re: Waiting
"I loved it," she answered. "People don't know about all the training that goes into it. It's like gymnastics times dancing, only people want to watch you. And the skirts are awesome."

Crazy Wesley was her first ally. That was worth something.
