So she never 'asks too much of us' again." She crossed her arms and glared at a bookcase across the room. "Plus she wants us to observe the other people doing the exercise and write about their 'learning' experiences. I don't think I could look him in the face if I'd agreed to do the damned thing."
As Janet explained, Sam suddenly felt the need to go take a long hot shower and scrub herself with lye soap.
"That's completely invasive! Why can't she just trust that if she 'asks too much of you' (and please, could she have picked more manipulative phrasing!), that you'll tell her, just like you did this time?"
