Language Classes, Friday, Oct. 21
As he did last Friday, Dream has stocked the table at the front of the room with candy, popcorn and sodas and rolled in a large-screen TV.
Hello.
We are watching movies again today. Classics students, here is a filmed production of Oedipus Rex. I was not satisfied with the filmed versions of the play that I could find in this world; here is one pulled from the dreams of Sophocles.
Languages of Asia students, we will continue Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from last week. You should be able to pick out certain words and phrases in the dialogue, though Mandarin and Cantonese are quite different.
As always, I remind you that I will pay special attention to students who fall asleep during the films.

Re: Classics, 10/21
Murphy is wandering through them all, older, a slow trickle of blood falling down the right side of his face.
It's obvious he's calling out to someone, but there is no sound.
Re: Classics, 10/21
It is bad here, he says, neutral.
What do you seek?
Re: Classics, 10/21
They're walking through a grimy alley now.
He pushes his hair back out of his eyes, showing that his wrist is bloody and torn. {"He's always saving me, but he won't let me save him."}
Re: Classics, 10/21
{Angels are hard creatures. Fierce. They seldom allow themselves to be saved.}
He reaches out for Murphy's wrist and grabs it, inspecting the wound. {This must hurt.}
Re: Classics, 10/21
There may be a shadow overhead.
Re: Classics, 10/21
{Who is "his"?}
Re: Classics, 10/21
It's an figure, frozen seemingly in mid-flight.
The golden halo and flaming sword highlight the exact same wounds as Murphy has.
Re: Classics, 10/21
{This ... you saw him in the waking world, did you not? He should not have been there.}
Re: Classics, 10/21
There's an arm with the same injuries falling over Murphy's shoulder. It's attached to an equally older Connor, faint smile on his bloody face.
Re: Classics, 10/21
{He must watch over you and your brother.} He gestures to the injured arms. {But this ... seems unavoidable.}
Re: Classics, 10/21
Which gets a smile from Murphy. "Ya can't argue with that, aye? Thanks fer helpin' me find m' angel, sir."
They walk away, Connor's wings wrapping carefully around his twin.
