First Aid - Danger Shop, Friday, Period 5 [Week 4]

The Danger Shop looked a lot like last week, only this time there were piles of foam bones placed around the room.

"Today is a four step class," Hawkeye declared. "Step one: you're going to learn how to treat a suspected broken or fractured bone. Step three: we're going to learn a song. Step four: you're going to put the song into practice and put those bones together in the right order. There was a step two, but I stepped over it, so let's use it as a stepping stone to the other steps by missing the step."

Alex had broken plenty of bones in his lifetime but he was pretty some of them hadn't always set properly. Consequences of no health insurance and a generally crappy childhood.

Still, he paid attention and waited for a partner.

Cara had broken plenty of bones before (some of which had even been her own), so she knew as much about setting bones properly as someone from a place where advanced medicine involved magic could.

She looked around for a partner who didn't mind a bit of SP due to evil timezones.

Leda remembered breaking her arm when she was a kid. Not a fun time, but at least it gave her a good frame of reference.

"The heel bone connected to the foot bone!" Dandelion sang out with some head banging action.

If she had known there'd be singing she would have brought her guitar. And amp. Probably not a tuning fork.

Alex...was just going to stare for a few moments. He was not a singer, not even close and now he had to sing in class. Yeah, really not what he wanted to do.

But he did. Quietly and while his face was turned towards the floor. Needed to protect that reputation and all.

It was a good thing that Kate was in a pretty awesome mood today. For one thing, it meant that all this just amused her.

Didn't mean she was going to sing loud, though. But she did sing.

Rolling her eyes, Cara mumbled her way through the song, a beat behind the rest of the class.

Tara was hiding in the back of the class, but she sang and sang well. There might even have been a few muffled giggles.

Emma really wasn't that good a singer. She could carry a tune, but she didn't like being forced to perform.

She sang it quickly and under her breath, just wanting to get it over with.

Ellie boggled a bit, but she was singing along. Quietly.

Jono was not going to sing along. Jono was going to stand there with his arms crossed over his chest, actually rather wishing that he could sing along, but being a telepath with no throat or mouth made such things tricky.

Maybe if he attempted some particularly dirty looks and tried to ferret himself away into a corner somewhere, he'd be able to get out of this mostly unscathed.

Joolushko had never heard the song. She was also not singing along, but she'd probably mouth the words eventually if she needed to. Trust her, it's better for everyone if the shrieky alien girl doesn't sing.

Dandelion was making a complete mess of her skeleton. "Clearly this is some kind of mutant!" she said looking excited. "Or the missing link!"

Or she was just mixing up the bones.

Chances are she was just mixing up the bones.

Cara put her skeleton together remarkably quickly. This might have been a stupid exercise, but she knew how the human body was put together and wanted to get this over and done with as fast as possible.

She hadn't been singing but there was definite humming going on now as Joolushko worked on putting her skeleton back together again.

Omgggg Sookie will not be in class by virtue of being in Louisiana and ten years in the past. She'll totes apologize next week, though!
