The Lawn | Noon Onward!

With graduation festivities occurring over the weekend, the school administration expected most of the graduation guests to begin arriving today. To ensure guests felt welcomed, Barney's student council minions had set up a small gathering on the lawn where the guests could arrive, mingle, and feign relaxation before heading off with their graduates.

Or where they could all hear about how George got the makeouts with his girl the night before. Someone was a little chatty while hefting the tables and chairs that would serve guests well for getting a load off after travel, and Barney thought it was a tale worth sharing. For the hungry and forgetful, there were finger foods and nametags spread out on a long table. It was time to get the all-weekend grad party started!

Johnny slapped his nametag to his chest, grabbed a handful of chips, and more or less just wandered around. He was happy to be here. In just over a week he'd be taking his girl home with him.

So yeah, he was all but bouncing with the happy.

Someone may have been watching for his arrival for a little while.

Okay, she'd been up before the sun and bouncing about seeing him.

That would be why, when she spotted him, he ended up with arms full of Savannah.

It was not as though he wasn't expecting an armful of Savannah, but he laughed and squeezed her tight. "How's my girl?"

"Happy to see her man, shocked as hell she's graduating," she said with a grin.

"I'm going to try and not feel too bad for you, about graduation," he replied, looking down into her eyes as his lips curved slightly upwards with a smirk.

"No," he mock pouted. "Seems to me you would have shouted it by now."

She leaned up to kiss him. "No one is loved as much as I love you," she assured him after she broke off the kiss.

Johnny kissed her softly but with definite greed before smiling at her. "I love you too, sweetheart. Don't hate me for wishing it was next week already."

She shook her head. "I could never." Said the person who was almost packed. "K-Mart and Karla might try to keep me, though," she teased.

He smirked, reaching to settle his hands on her hips. "They can try all they like. Hell, I might even have some fun with that," he teased. "But they won't succeed." And he felt for K-Mart, really. He hoped she'd be alright once Savannah was gone.

She shook her head. "They can try, but it won't work. I've been waiting for this for a year." She hugged him again. "I am so glad you're here."

Considering that K-Mart had helped her through that first rough patch, Savannah had no doubts that her friend would be just fine.

He held her close. "Me too, sweetheart."

Over the top of her head, Johnny glanced around. "I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends while here. Catch up with Isabel... which, uh, is your... " how to put it kindly? "family here yet?" He figured that was pretty damn nice considering how he felt about them. Or most of them.

She chewed on her bottom lip and shook her head. "Not that I know of. I haven't seen them or heard from them." She looked up at him, a little worry in her eyes. "Do you want to know exactly who seems to be coming?"

He stared back at her, wanting to quench the worry he saw in her eyes, but unable to keep the dread from his tone when he answered: "Give me a heads up, uh? Yeah," he nodded, "tell me."

She didn't let go of him and didn't look away, either. "Benecio," she said quietly. "Clay and Elena. Paige and Lucas. Adam. Jeremy." She gave him a faint smile. "The guys will behave and Jeremy will make sure with Clayton. Adam promised that he would be on his best behavior."

Which, well, if Adam's idea of best behavior was the same as Savannah's...

Johnny's jaw flexed and his smile was tight. "No doubt about it; this weekend is sure to be interesting." To say the least.

Okay, he didn't anticipate this one but that didn't mean he wasn't squeezing her tight, doing his best to pick her feet up off the floor. "Miss me did you?"

And that would be K-Mart punching Johnny in the shoulder.

"Ooh! Did you get all the picture I emailed you?"

Because yes, she had totally sent him a ridiculous amount of photos of their seven-year-old son.

"And yes. You kind of went crazy with the camera didn't you?" Not that he didn't print each and every one of them.

"Well... maybe just a little," K-Mart admitted, laughing. "But it was all worth it. Especially for the ones I managed to get with him and Storm being all adorable."

Johnny was rather proud of those kids. His kids. And it showed. "Adorable is right; the kids take after their mothers."
