The Lawn | Noon Onward!

With graduation festivities occurring over the weekend, the school administration expected most of the graduation guests to begin arriving today. To ensure guests felt welcomed, Barney's student council minions had set up a small gathering on the lawn where the guests could arrive, mingle, and feign relaxation before heading off with their graduates.

Or where they could all hear about how George got the makeouts with his girl the night before. Someone was a little chatty while hefting the tables and chairs that would serve guests well for getting a load off after travel, and Barney thought it was a tale worth sharing. For the hungry and forgetful, there were finger foods and nametags spread out on a long table. It was time to get the all-weekend grad party started!

"Happy to see her man, shocked as hell she's graduating," she said with a grin.

"I'm going to try and not feel too bad for you, about graduation," he replied, looking down into her eyes as his lips curved slightly upwards with a smirk.

She smiled up at him. "Have I said I love you, yet?"

"No," he mock pouted. "Seems to me you would have shouted it by now."

She leaned up to kiss him. "No one is loved as much as I love you," she assured him after she broke off the kiss.

Johnny kissed her softly but with definite greed before smiling at her. "I love you too, sweetheart. Don't hate me for wishing it was next week already."

She shook her head. "I could never." Said the person who was almost packed. "K-Mart and Karla might try to keep me, though," she teased.

He smirked, reaching to settle his hands on her hips. "They can try all they like. Hell, I might even have some fun with that," he teased. "But they won't succeed." And he felt for K-Mart, really. He hoped she'd be alright once Savannah was gone.

She shook her head. "They can try, but it won't work. I've been waiting for this for a year." She hugged him again. "I am so glad you're here."

Considering that K-Mart had helped her through that first rough patch, Savannah had no doubts that her friend would be just fine.

He held her close. "Me too, sweetheart."

Over the top of her head, Johnny glanced around. "I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends while here. Catch up with Isabel... which, uh, is your... " how to put it kindly? "family here yet?" He figured that was pretty damn nice considering how he felt about them. Or most of them.

She chewed on her bottom lip and shook her head. "Not that I know of. I haven't seen them or heard from them." She looked up at him, a little worry in her eyes. "Do you want to know exactly who seems to be coming?"

He stared back at her, wanting to quench the worry he saw in her eyes, but unable to keep the dread from his tone when he answered: "Give me a heads up, uh? Yeah," he nodded, "tell me."

She didn't let go of him and didn't look away, either. "Benecio," she said quietly. "Clay and Elena. Paige and Lucas. Adam. Jeremy." She gave him a faint smile. "The guys will behave and Jeremy will make sure with Clayton. Adam promised that he would be on his best behavior."

Which, well, if Adam's idea of best behavior was the same as Savannah's...

Johnny's jaw flexed and his smile was tight. "No doubt about it; this weekend is sure to be interesting." To say the least.

"They promised," she said quietly. She ran her hand along his jaw, wanting to relax him. "They promised," she repeated.

He wouldn't hold his breath as to whether or not those promises were kept. But this time was hers and he wouldn't act like an ass. Unless, you know, provoked. "I'm not worried. And don't you worry about me, okay?"

She raised an eyebrow at that. "I love you and will always worry." She smiled at him. "Besides, Mom and Sean are here. Wyatt and Isabel will be here, as will Summer. K-Mart is here." She brushed her hair back from her face. "If it gets too much, they can deal with my relatives and we can escape somewhere?"

He cupped her cheek, caressed down to hold his hand against her neck, under her hair. "I wouldn't be against escaping with you. In fact, I think that idea holds a certain amount of appeal. Don't you?" His blue eyes darkened as they carefully swept down her slender frame.

There was a definite spark in her eyes as she watched his face. "I'm pretty sure that I have never had any problem with escaping anywhere with you, love. I believe that you know it's been one of my favorite past times." She tilted her head to the side. "And just think, a week from tomorrow and there won't be a need to run away and escape together unless we want a vacation."

"Exactly," he replied, grinning down at that recognizable spark in her eyes. "Which reminds me... I have been trying to add a certain, uh, feminine charm to my apartment. Specifically the bedroom."

"Oh really?" Someone had been working on a low drawl it seemed. "And exactly what have you been trying to do my love?"

Oh there was a wicked look in her eyes now.

"Oh, add a stripper pole," he answered, not at all ashamed. Except, you know, he was kind of glancing away.

Savannah stared at him for a moment and then burst out into giggles. "You didn't!"

"Figured you might want a piece of Fandom brought with you." Yeah. Totally for that reason alone. Totally.

She wasn't buying it at all. Not one bit.

"Well, at least you didn't decide on a pony or a gremlin," she teased.

Yeah, he was so getting teased.
