Even though he hadn't had any visions lately, it was clear to Sam that something was seriously up in Fandom. The fact that he hadn't had any visions to tell him what was up was not making him happy, but he was trying not to think about it as he went back and forth grabbing books and materials for people who wanted to come and research.

Claire stopped by to talk to Sam but she hadn't managed to bring herself to head in to town and stop at the Perk so she made coffee in the common room and had scrounged up a travel mug from somewhere instead. She also brought cookies to make up for not having delicious Perk coffee.

"It's so damn creepy out there," she said by way of greeting.

"Tell me about it. Are you doing okay?" Sam asked, looking Claire over like if she'd gotten hurt, there'd be a visible sign. It was a force of habit, even on people who could heal themselves.

"I'm fine, Sam," Claire assured him. "But you get homemade coffee today."

She handed him the mug and a ziplock bag with some cookies (not homemade, alas).

"You're okay?"

"I have homemade coffee. I'm great," Sam teased. "Seriously though, I'm good. I haven't run into anything weird in town, although I kind of wish I had so I'd know more about what's out there."

Claire frowned a bit at that.

"Just promise me you won't do anything stupid."

"Of course I won't," Sam said, although really, he couldn't guarantee that. "I'll be totally safe."

"Good. Cause if you're not, I'll tell Peter."

Claire figured that was her trump card.

"Hey, no worrying Peter," Sam said with a scowl. "He's got enough on his mind already, he doesn't need to be thinking about me doing stupid things."

Claire gave him her most innocent smile. "Good. Then you won't do anything that might cause him to worry."

"And neither will you," Sam said firmly. "I can make him worry about you too."

"Don't worry. I'm not planning to get myself in any trouble," Claire promised.

"Good, then neither one of us will have to say anything to him," Sam said, before breaking into a hint of a smile. "It's nice to be able to threaten to though, huh?"

Claire smiled. "Yeah, it really is."
