Library [03/24]

Even though he hadn't had any visions lately, it was clear to Sam that something was seriously up in Fandom. The fact that he hadn't had any visions to tell him what was up was not making him happy, but he was trying not to think about it as he went back and forth grabbing books and materials for people who wanted to come and research.

After class, it was clearer than ever to Jack that something was going on, and not knowing what it was had him jittery. Sebastien would have had him researching until his eyes bled; it was with some grim satisfaction that he made it to the library to do precisely that.

He eyed the board and decided to skip the computers and look through some scientific journals to see if he could learn any more about this von Slaptyback.

It was dry work for someone with only a rudimentary understanding of modern science. Eventually, however, he found one volume that made sense to Jack. He took swift notes as he read through it, keeping an eye open for anyone who he might be able to compare findings with.

Eventually bored with her Very Serious Research on this 'Slaptyback's' dinosaur-ish projects -- Anemone had a morbid fascination with genetic engineering, all things considered -- turned to what she considered the 'long shot, but what the hell' work.

Checking birth, death, and wedding announcements. Because maybe they'd find his sister or something, who could verify that he was splicing spiders in Africa or something, and they could move on.

Instead, she found herself staring at one notice (http://weddings.theknot.com/pwp/pwp2/view/MemberPage.aspx?coupleid=6346047143043622) with disbelief. "They let mad scientists marry? Doesn't that imply letting them procreate outside a test-tube?" Because that wasn't a horrible idea. At all. Or anything.

Okay, so, there was weird fog, and the radio was reporting things about even weirder creatures in said fog. And last time Claudia had decided to wing it with weird creatures she got electrocuted. Hence, hitting up the library for research before winging it.

She got a bit distracted by all the stuff that'd already been posted though. "Dude. It's all organized-like."

Armed with a lead slightly better than "clippity-cloppity bananabreath from hell", Claudia hit the 'net, and with a few totally-moral-if-not-technically-legal hacks, managed to track down something that could be helpful.
