Today Anakin's desk was covered with droid babies in bassinets. Each baby had a tiny stuffed Ewok tucked next to it. Hush.

"Today we talk about lust," Anakin said, pulling his attention back from the wall he'd been staring at, trying to get a handle on a bad feeling he'd been having since stepping foot on the island yesterday. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. Evilly. Some of his lesson plans might have changed this semester, but he had been looking forward to the droid babies with something close to unholy glee this go-around. "Meet your little projects for the next week. They're heavy, they cry, and they will record everything you do with them. So if you stuff them into a closet for the duration, believe me, I'll know."

After all, he'd built all of them.

He reached for a list of paper. "I've paired you up together." His smile turned a little more evil. "And some of your babies are a little fussier than others."

"They survive digestion?"

Anakin was using up his supply of italics today.

"Occasionally." Not frequently. "They are the offspring of gods, after all."

"This one isn't," Anakin said a little hastily. "Don't eat it."

Illyria sighed. "I find this attitude speciesist, but very well."

"Feel free to take it up with Principal Winchester," Anakin replied evenly. "And next time, I'll work on making a more...digestible...version of a child."

Oh, the things he said in this school.

Arthur was watching the both of them closely.

If Anakin said yes, no more child. If Anakin said no, he could tell Illyria where to stuff this 'abandoning the child' idea.

It was fairly important to his immediate future, after all.

She didn't want to abandon it; she just wanted him to be the one to carry it to this mentally afflicted Francine person. Before it did something worse than scream at them like...

Dribble some sort of hopefully artificial internal fluid out the leg-hole of its diaper, down its chubby thigh and onto Illyria's hand.

"Eww." She wiped said hand off on her body armor and held the thing further away from her. Grouchier now, she added, "This 'lesson' is lost on the both of us anyway. There is no being here I could possibly produce viable offspring with--" Yes, she had no idea, in this body. Shut up. She was going on hope for that one. "-- and he fornicates exclusively with a male."

"..."

That would be Arthur, choking. On air. And maybe a little saliva.

"Don't listen to her!"

How did she even know that?!

"We'll take the child!"

"What? You reek of him!"

Now would be a good time to wonder what the werewolves and vampires might smell on you, Arthur.

"He dresses me every morning!"

"Enough!" Anakin cried.

"You--" he said, pointing at Illyria. "No eating the droid baby."

"You--" he added, pointing at Arthur, "I don't give a damn about your personal life. Make sure she doesn't eat the droid baby. I'll see you both next week."

Arthur would take this one for what it was and get the hell out of here.

And then he would drag Illyria with him to go see Francine.

He was still shooting her glares as he walked back to his seat.

"Your morning attire includes mango-flavored personal lubricant?" she hissed as as she followed him. Which was one of the less intimate scent details she could have provided, actually.

"Will you keep your nose to yourself?!"

Illyria touched the tip of said nose, giving him a look that stated rather than implied that he was the mentally afflicted one, then shrugged. "It's of no import to me."

"Then be kind and keep it to yourself," he hissed back.

Christ. He wasn't going to be able to look Master Anakin in the eye again.

Kind. Illyria considered the concept, and why she should feel beholden to care.

Because it's human, said the same voice that had offered her robot.

Perhaps she owed it, and perhaps she hated that she could even conceive of such a thing.

"As you wish."
