When the Ethics class arrived in the Danger Shop, they stepped into an entirely different world: An incredibly dry, hot one that smelled really bad.

Anakin waved his hand around the room. "Welcome to the embodiment of gluttony," he said, "the palace of a Hutt."

He concentrated on the controls on the far side of the room, and the simulation sprung to life: dozens of beings drinking, eating, and dancing, with all activity centered around a vile slug of a beast laying on the raised dais (not that it really had many other options for range of motion) at the front of the room.

"That," Anakin said, nose wrinkling in disgust as he pointed, "is a Hutt. This particular version is named Jabba, and is one of the most powerful crime lords in the galaxy." Or was, but he wouldn't exactly be mentioned what happened to Jabba in a class with Leia in it. "Today is an interactive experience for you, class. Take a good hard look around. See the effects that gluttony can have."

His eyes went flat. "Touch any of the dancing girls and you'll regret it. And try not to get addicted to any of the drugs those aliens--" he jerked his thumb toward the bar "--are pushing."

"That won't be necessary," Anakin said in a firm voice, waving his fingers at the major domo.

"That won't be necessary," the Twi'lek repeated.

"You can go about your business," Anakin added.

"I can go about my business," he echoed.

Anakin flicked his hand. "Move along."

The Twi'lek moved along and Anakin looked pleased with himself.

"It's a simulation," Leia pointed out. "You programed it to obey you." She wasn't deliberately trying to be ungrateful, just logical.

"Would you rather spend the class in the dungeons?" he replied.

"Of course not," Leia said. "Would you really let them throw me in it?"

"Yes," Anakin said with a tiny smile.

Maybe she should get used to her father throwing her in a cell. Experience for later and all.

Leia shrugged. "I could take a nap then," she said.

"Want me to call him back?" Anakin asked.

"If you'd like," Leia said. "But I'd like a blaster in that case."

"But you didn't have one to start with," Anakin replied.

"I wasn't expecting to walk into a Hutt's pleasure den, either," Leia sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Sometimes life doesn't give you what you want," Anakin said. Helpfully.

Really. That's Great Knowledge, coming from him.

"Then toss me in a cell," Leia said. "I deserve it for being stupid enough to walk into a place like this unarmed."
