Sarah sits at her desk, working on her ~~really sexy Fandom-High-populated Regency romance novel~~ very important principal-type work.

The puppies are asleep in the basket in front of her desk, and anybody is free to pick them up.

Faith grins when she sees the puppies again ~~and, aw, they're sleeping!~~. She quietly picks one up and tries to quietly bring it to her seat.

Sarah looks up from her notes and smirks when she sees Faith trying not to fawn all over the puppy. Shaking her head, Sarah says, "You can keep that one, you know. He's the runt, and he's not taking to the training anyway."

Faith stares at her, mouth open. "I can keep it?" she says gleefully. Catching herself, she tries to frown. "Sure, I guess. If you don't want it, or anything."

Sarah has to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing at Faith's hopeful expression. "Yeah, sure, take it. He's supposed to bark at robots and cyborgs, but mostly he just sits in front of people and things with mechanical parts and whimpers. It's cute, but not exactly the kind of lethal I was going for."

Faith nods. "Thanks, Principal Connor," she says ~~and totally gives the puppy a hug~~.

~~I thought you didn't give a *shit* about puppies?~~

~~Does the offer of killing you for twenty-five cents still stand?~~

Parker is looking on, envious. "She let you *keep* it?" she ~~squeaks~~ growls. "Just like that?"

Faith nodded. "Apparently, it's broken. ~~Aw, it whimpers at machines. How cute is that?~~"

"Hunh." Parker folds her arms, resisting the urge to scratch its head. "~~He's adorable! Now I want one, damnit!~~Is it a he, or a she? And what are you going to name it?"
