Sarah sits at her desk, working on her really sexy Fandom-High-populated Regency romance novel very important principal-type work.

The puppies are asleep in the basket in front of her desk, and anybody is free to pick them up.

Faith stares at her, mouth open. "I can keep it?" she says gleefully. Catching herself, she tries to frown. "Sure, I guess. If you don't want it, or anything."

Sarah has to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing at Faith's hopeful expression. "Yeah, sure, take it. He's supposed to bark at robots and cyborgs, but mostly he just sits in front of people and things with mechanical parts and whimpers. It's cute, but not exactly the kind of lethal I was going for."

Faith nods. "Thanks, Principal Connor," she says and totally gives the puppy a hug.

Parker is looking on, envious. "She let you *keep* it?" she squeaks growls. "Just like that?"

Faith nodded. "Apparently, it's broken. Aw, it whimpers at machines. How cute is that?"

"Hunh." Parker folds her arms, resisting the urge to scratch its head. "He's adorable! Now I want one, damnit!Is it a he, or a she? And what are you going to name it?"

"He's a boy," Faith said. "I don't know what to name him though. Wilkins, maybe. Because I don't want to name my puppy Dick. That's awkward."

Parker can't resist any longer, and she reaches out to let Wilkins (or whoever he's going to be named) sniff her hand. "He seems smart, even if he's not tough enough for the Principal. You'll have to get him fixed, or keep him penned up. But he's a little young yet for that, I guess. Is there a vet in town? Oh yeah. All kinds of awkward. Wilkins? I guess there's worse names." She grins as the puppy nips at her fingertips. Awwww, so friendly! Who's a good boy?
