Junior Achievers Meeting

Outside of Dr. Carter's classroom is a neatly handwritten sign which says:

Junior Achievers Meeting

The door to the classroom is wide open. Inside Angelus sits at one of the front desks. He is busy writing in his notebook. Anyone who peered over his shoulder would see words like "Master" and "slave" in his handwriting. He is also humming a cheery tune.

On Dr. Carter's desk is an open box of peanut butter cookies from Deb's diner. There is also a sign-in sheet.

"Seemed like they were both after the same guy. Lots of macho posturing, came within inches of beating each other if body language is any judge, then they went off to have a beer together."

"Jayne," Angelus repeated. "Jayne who is currently shacking up with Bel's girlfriend with the clear and obvious intent to get a leg over, was fighting with somebody else about another guy. Does Phoeboe kn - no, you wouldn't know that. Her name didn't come up."

Anakin's eyes widened. "Wow. No, there were no names mentioned, but there was lots of talk about payment. Sounded like a professional sex worker to me, not a student. And not a girl."

"Okay, do the rent boys of this town have dicks made of diamond and come complete with adjustible vibration scales?" Angelus asked. "What the hell is up with that?"

Belthazor listened in on the conversation, scowling, arms crossed across his chest.

"Does Phoebe know about any of this?" Angelus asked.

"Yeah,," Belthazor muttered. "I've heard rumors and I've mentioned them to her. Hey, he can screw whoever or whatever he wants -- so long as he keeps his hands off Phoebe."

"Are we sure he's not actually gay?" Angelus asked. "Ol' Pheeb could just be a fag hag."

"No, she isn't!" Belthazor said hotly. ~~Oh you did not go there girlfriend!~~

~~"I didn't mean you, jackass."~~ Angelus raised his hands to show Bel no harm was intended. "I meant maybe Jayne isn't actually trying to fuck her. Maybe he doesn't swing that way, and that's why she's staying with him. What do I know? I've never met the guy and the two facts I can cite are girl's name and rent boy lover. Could mean gay to some people. Not that there's anything wrong with that."

"He goes both ways," Bethazor said. "Phoebe says he's chasing after some other girl, too." He smirked. "Then again, her name is 'George,' so what does that tell you?"

"That somewhere out there both of their parents are going to discover their kids were switched at birth?" Angelus grinned. "Seriously though, are you sure you want this girl? She's treating you like a dog. And not in the fun way."

Belthazor glared at Angelus. "She is not," he said. ~~"What's the matter, jealous?"~~

"Hookay, backing off this conversation right now," Angelus said. "I like you more than I give a damn about her. Which is admittedly a strange sentiment from me but there we are. Officially crossing that topic off the discussion list and forget I mentioned it. Sheesh. ~~Can't you see that I love you, you fool? I'll treat you better than she ever will!~~"

"She's not like that," Belthazor protested. "You just don't know her. ~~Sure, you say that, but then I catch you subtexting with someone else, you cad!~~"

"I know that all I see out of your relationship with her is that she makes you unhappy," Angelus paused, listening to the words coming out of his mouth. "And that now I sound like somebody out of a soap opera, which is funny because I don't eat out of the cafeteria. But hey, you tell me she's what you want and I want you to have her. Hey, I got ignored by the girl I was only pretending to be interested in for the sake of pretending I was interested in someone. Other than the 4..5... okay possibly 8 other people that I'm currently sleeping with, who's offering me comfort? Huh? Hum? Huh?"

"She does not make me unhappy," Belthazor said defensively. "In fact, just yesterday we were talking about her moving back to the dorms and staying with me. I'm going to talk to housing tomorrow. ~~How do you keep up with that many? Vitamins?~~"

"Good. Great," Angelus nodded his approval. "How'd you swing it? And did you ever find out who was sending the you-know what? ~~Vampire stamina. Live it, love it, baby.~~"

"I...haven't looked into it," Anakin replied, "but I've heard about this dancers on Ryloth..." he trailed off. "That was rhetorical, wasn't it? Sorry."

"S'okay," Angelus patted him on the back. "I've had plenty of interesting sex with demons in my time. ~~Including Bel, but his tricks are slightly different.~~"

Anakin grinned, on a little more firmer ground. "You'd love Coruscant, then. Thousands of different species, doing things you haven't even imagined until they start." He coughed. "So I've heard."

Angelus quirked an eyebrow. "I'll have to visit sometime. Promise to show me around?"

"Absolutely."
