Junior Achievers Meeting

Outside of Dr. Carter's classroom is a neatly handwritten sign which says:

Junior Achievers Meeting

All are welcome.

Tonight's topics include:

1) Parents/Family Weekend
a) JA Meet & Greet?
b) Bake sale?
C) Personal projects?

2) Student Council: Academic Affairs is open

3) Guest speaker: Callisto, on having a FH Fashion Show

4) Words of wisdom from Dr. Carter

5) Any new business

Free food provided.

The door to the classroom is wide open. Inside Angelus sits at one of the front desks. He is busy writing in his notebook. Anyone who peered over his shoulder would see words like "Master" and "slave" in his handwriting. He is also humming a cheery tune.

On Dr. Carter's desk is an open box of peanut butter cookies from Deb's diner. There is also a sign-in sheet.

"Parents-slash-Family weekend is coming up," Angelus said. "As club president, it would mean a great deal to me to say hello to whoever is coming in from out of town, and let them know what a fine job you're doing here at JA.

"To that end, what do we think of having a small event for just that purpose? Nothing fancy, maybe just coffee and cake and as much networking as your small talk skills can take."

P/F W: Bake Sale?

"We've been waiting on this one for a while," Angelus said. "But I think the sting of the yearbook fiasco - " he made a face of disgust " - is well behind us. What do we say to trying to have our bake sale during Parents' Weekend? It could be just the thing to show the school and all the visitors what JA is really about."

P/F W: Personal projects?

"This one is more of a general note, but we can have limited discussion, " Angelus gave them all a significant look " - if need be. But I wanted to say that I'm sure many if not all of us have personal projects that we'd love to do to make Parents and Family Weekend the best it can be, so let's not forget not to step on each others' toes, m'kay? Communication is key, people."

Student Council

"The position of Academic Affairs is open again, for reasons unknown to me," Angelus said. "Of course I encourage anyone who has the desire to do more for our fair school, but I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't single our boy Johnny out to see if we can't get him to throw his hat in the ring once more."

Callisto: Fashion show

"I'm going to give the floor over to Callisto," Angelus said, "Who I in no way find distracting, nor am I thinking of kissing her right now. Who had a great idea about a fashion show. Cal?"

"And now our faculty advisor, to whom we owe so much," Angelus grinned at Dr. Carter. "Doc? Any words of wisdom for our eager minds and ears?"

"Okay," Angelus stretched and looked out over the group. "Any new business? Anybody want to bring anything up that wasn't covered in the other topics?"
